    Would Gen3 seats fit in a Gen2

    Bonjour guys,
Sorry if the subject has been discussed before but I couldn’t find anything with the search engine.
I could get my hands on gen3 seats for a decent price but I am wondering if they would fit in a gen2 RT
Would I use the oem rails?? Would the top shoulder pads will fit by the doors??
    How about the seat belts??

    Thank you for you help

    Ben

Yeah I agree that $750 for the 2 Gen 3 seats looks like a good deal and he lives not too far from you!

It has been done a few times. Not a direct fit, some modification required. Plus it's a tight fit, but will work.

As has been said yes it's been done. But when you're done it looks like you took seats out of one vehicle and put them in another. And to throw the most overplayed word in automotive history at this, there's your upgrade. Frankenseats. But hey, it's an upgrade.

You can't get them to sit low enough because the framing on the Gen 3 seats are wider than the floor area of the Gen 2. Too much work to the bottom of the seats to get to fit.
Besides, the Gen 2 seats are WAAYYYYYY more comfortable than the Gen 3 seats. Gen 3 - 4 seats suck. LOL
I put Gen 2 seats in my Gen 4,,,, AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My GTS had gen 3 seats in it when I bought the car, luckily the guy I bought it from saved the original seats. The Gen 3 seats are simply way too big for the car, in every direction. Too tall, wide, and long. Save yourself the headache.

    Well, thanks guys.
From the photos I saw, I was also thinking they looked big but it was from a photo.
I didn’t know if they were comfortable, looks like they are not...but they look fantastic, good and comfy, proves pictures only tell so much.
I got my answers, I will keep my OEM seats and skip the “upgradel...lol.

    Thank you all
