    2013 GTS Radio Update

I've been getting an automatic message on the Radio screen asking me if I want to Update the system everytime I start the car. Since it gives me the choice to go through with it, or just click "no" or the "X" on the screen to go back to normal radio operations, I've been avoiding it and not doing it just in case something does not work after the update.

Has naybody gone through with this , and has there been any issues?

    thanks.

I performed this on my 2013 GTS, with no issues upon completion

Venum, ignition on "run" good enough to do the procedure?
    TIA.

Yes, you can do it in run but I wouldn't recommend it due to how long it can take sometimes. If it drains your battery and dies mid-update your radio MIGHT be bricked.

I don't know the answer to your question, but I like you, have chosen not to do the update.

There is an email people are receiving from Dodge about doing a NAV upgrade, see below. I did not receive it. In any case some people have apparently had problems with it. One member of our region was told by John Gastman not to do the upgrade. Has anyone bought this upgrade and installed it? Any problems?

I just received the same notice for the 2017. I thought that Chrysler had implemented lifetime updates for GPS by that time. A bit confused.
