    Tail lens removal

    Hello all!
Washing the car today I realized the rear tail lens has a light deflector that has come lose inside the light (attached pic). Looking at purchasing a new one I see the part diagram (also attached) show ls that it can be separated. Has anyone been able to remove the lens from the panel as the parts diagram indicates ?
    Thanks in advance

You may have to do the oven heat trick like the guys who put halos in their headlights. I haven’t done this personally, but was interested in the halos all the way up until I saw how to remove a glued on lense... I’m not sure if the tail lights lenses are “glued” to the housing, but the drawings that you posted are not showing fasteners, so I can assume they are just like the head lights.

Look on YouTube on a halo head light install. You can find this for vipers specifically although not for the taillights.

    Good luck friend

Just took a look at the video and worth a shot I guess. I’ll keep an eye out for a used one and try the oven trick when the wifey goes out of the house for the day

I have used the oven for drying brass after ultrasonic cleaning for reloading and my wife was not impressed. I can’t imagine what she would say if I put plastic parts in there. Probably a good choice waiting for the wife to be out of the house
