looking for a 96 red yellow rt 10

Hello all, not sure if this is the right place to post but I REALLY want a 96 Red Viper with the factory yellow wheels, I have cash in hand ready to buy, willing to pay a fair price! There is only online right now for $50k but it has 2k miles and I would prefer something with more miles and obviously a lower price.

Let me know what you have, I am literally ready to buy the same day if we make a deal.

Hi fill, you're welcome to post in the forum, however be advised that only VOA members are allowed to reply with an offer in here. Make sure to look in our classified area too. Best of luck with your search.

    Hi, *fill-up*...it's been a while !!

I will keep my eyes and ears open for one.

As you know, there weren't all that many produced. By in large, the color scheme was not for everyone! Admittedly, I am quite fond of this model...and, as time has passed, I have become even more fond of this "variant" as I put together the unique color scheme and some Ferrari racing history. How many major manufacturers would have allowed production of a model that was basically a spoof on the hallowed Ferrari racing livery??...complete with a smiling Viper badge where Ferrari would have placed their prancing horse logo "cavallino rampante" (renamed "the dancin' donkey" in some Viper circles).

And before the "horse patrol" gets too worked up...YES, at the time we got our red/yellow '96...we also owned a couple of Ferrari models...one V8, one V12.

I was more than a little surprised when our "Ronald McDonald" Viper whipped the ass of a 355 F1 and 360 without even straining. Did I mention that my Wife was the Viper driver on those occasions ??

On a more serious note, good hunting, *fill-up*.

P.S. The word "spoof" may be understating the sentiment. One might have said "thumbing the nose" or "kiss my Asp". Just sayin'...

It has been a while since I have even sat in Viper lol, glad your still doing good Steve!

I think that is what attracts me to the specific color and year. Its such a unique and different color combo, plus you get all the raw features of a first gen viper!

    Hey Fill up,

If you're wondering, documents show 166 Viper RT/10s were built for 1996 in Viper red with yellow wheels, red leather steering wheel rim, shift lever, and parking brake handle. In pictures, the colouring is questionable. In person, the red with yellow really rocks.

It's all about him Bob; membership has no value and even a classified ad has no value. It should all be free. Frankly, I'm jealous.

I’m more interested in the reason for random capitalization rather than why he can’t spring for a membership.

Fill-up: I have 1 of the 166 built in that color with just over 25,000 miles on it. 99% stock, brand new tires. Was toying around with selling it, so send me a PM if you are interested. I am located in Eastern Pennsylvania.

    Regards, Chris.

Does your interest stem more from the color combo than wanting an RT/10? I read somewhere in the past that they made a few Ketchup and Mustard GTSs, and there just happens to be one for sale on autotrader in my home state of Georgia right now. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to link it (new member, just bought my first Viper last week ), but that should be enough information for anyone interested to find it. Seller claims it's 1 of 14.

Thanks I appreciate the suggestion! However I am only looking for an rt/10 in that spec, love the clip in windows and no door handles!

Yes it is actually. I've spoken to Phil a couple of times so far. Hopefully we can make a deal if E-Bay doesn't meet the reserve.
