Gen 3 Convertible to Coupe Rear End Conversion

I've seen several photos of gen 3 convertible rear ends being converted to a coupe rear while keeping the convertible top.

Does anyone still make this kit or do you have to piece it together using coupe rear end parts yourself?

I haven't heard/seen anything from the original mfg. in a longtime, I believe Vipair developed the same rep as Hennessy/RSI in the Viper community, unfortunately.

If I wanted to do this, I would call Steve at Autoform in Holland, MI. Steve and Team have been there from the beginning...and, have done many, many custom body pieces. They built track cars before the Comp Coupes got off of the drawing board. Remember their race-proven hard tops? And their Gen III convertible hard tops/coupe fastbacks? Autoform folks are talented, innovative, artistic, and honest constructors/restorers. They KNOW Vipers!!! Call Steve and discuss your desired endpoint...I doubt you will be disappointed !!

These cars/parts are going to be available again soon. Some of the the mules were at the Woodward Cruise I believe

They are being built by a very well known and reputable company.

Sorry, that’s all I can say at this time.
I’m sure they will make the parts available when they feel they are ready.

Thanks for the replies. I was hoping somebody made a kit you could buy off the shelf. I'm not wanting to go down the road of one off custom pieces.

The parts are out there. Jeff Lemke built the kits first however he sold out to Vipair (I believe) and built his falcon. Jeff recently built a coupe conversion on his car, but it was a custom job. Autoform Steve is building a reversible coupe rear conversion kit, which is a new development. All other conversions were not exactly easily reversed.

They make a neat conversion, something the factory should have done with the gen 4 in my opinion

Pics of a 'street serpent' that was for sale a while ago in the UK. Coupe rear and wide body

That's hot AF!! One of he reasons I bought a coupe, those rear fenders! I might of had a crisis had I found a roadster with that conversion over here!

I completely agree. I would pay extra for a ride like that hands down.

Should have been factory like that. I was wanting to do this when I had my gen3. The rear fenders flow so much better with the rest of the car. I might not have done the coupe conversion if this was available by a good mfg at the time.
