    GenIV ACR prices?

Hi all, thinking of coming back to the Viper family after a 3.5 year hiatus. Looking at a GenIV ACR, just wondering what you guys feel about the Gen IV market? Do you feel the prices have hit bottom or will fall further? I know no one knows for sure and I know they say never buy a car as an investment, I'm not, would like to know your opinion on where you think they are at this point. Seems like a great price for a lot of car. I'm looking at a two owner, 16k clean '08, black with a red drivers stripe.

    Thanks everybody!

If you wait another 5 years, they will be at $30k or possibly $130k. Hope this helps..

I’ve had mine for about 6 years now. Over that time I’ll look around and see what’s on the market and what I’ve found is that most of the pre-gen 5 cars have slowly been creeping down as age and mileage increases with a few exceptions and those are the ‘92 first year cars, the ‘96-‘97 Blue/White GTS’s, and the Gen 4 ACR’s. The first year cars and the blue/white GTS’s seem to be very slowly appreciating while the G4 ACR’s really kind of bottom out around 70k for a car with 15k or more miles and super low mile examples usually around 80k. They’ve really not budged at all.

    Good to know, thanks!

I got mine in spring of 2016 and had followed them closely for a year prior. It seemed as though they took a decent drop in price when people looked to trade them in or sell them for the release of the Gen V ACR. I was fortunately able to take advantage of that with a great deal from Mr. Pemberton as previously I wouldn't have had a shot. Since then the prices maybe have crept up slightly but that's only going by what I see for asking price. I have no idea what cars are actually selling for. There seem to be a fair number on the market now compared to what there were prior to 2016 as well. When I first started looking I could only ever find 2-3 listed at a time.

I saw one in the "completed listings" section of ebay, a red '08 sold for $74,000 w/ 14.9k miles

I know it's impossible to tell, but do you think they have hit bottom?

I think they are all up from the bottom to a small degree.

I took a casual look at this just last night (for the 2008 SRT-10 Coupe's).. You're not too far off the actual pricing that I saw.

    Here's a 2008 ACR for ~$300K

Can't seem to find it now, but I stumbled across a 2008 SRT with 36 miles on the ODO that I think was ~$180K IIRC.

That's consistent with the calculated/overall average being published.
    Mid $60K's for the SRT-10.
N' the Verts seem to be holding their own too.

I'm all for Capitalism. With the current owners asking prices Vipers are not selling. We use to transport 10 - 15 Vipers per month to new owners. WE are down to moving
3 Vipers a month. We have picked up in the Mustang, Corvette, and Auction Markets. Most of the Vipers being
transported are from agreements that we have with Tuners. We make monthly runs to Calvo Motorsports,
    A & C Performance, A2Speed and a few other smaller tuners.

Thise are speciality cars and have no bearing on the value of all the other Vipers.

There is nothing special about an 08 ACR. It is not a $ 300K ride more like $ 75K

Nothing special about an 08 ACR... boy that’s rough. First real aero viper for the street/ track, held a bunch of track records, street car with track tires... Prolly not 300k and maybe 75, but it is special. Also the car for 300 is supposed to be the first 08 ACR. That would make it at least a little special. Yeah I’m G4 ACR owner, so I guess my opinion won’t count here. LOL
    BTW looove the comp coupe!

Frankly after all the years of the Negative Nancys, nice to have passionate owners talking about the worth of the Viper!! Prices have gone up and there are many worthwhile Snakes out there, but in reality it is a nice steady price flow upward and I personally would prefer that over a roller coaster ride on pricing. Sure some are asking crazy prices , with the chance they find that one unaware buyer, but imho the prices will continue to go up as the years progress. Whatever the outcome, I sure prefer the positive notes by those who supposedly love Sneaky Pete, Fangs and Stryker , instead of a bunch of doomsayers who I wonder if they ever really felt the inner glow owning one of these beautiful beasts can elict?!

Silver please point me in the direction of your research. I can find records for 2009 / 2010 but can't seem to find any for
the 2008 ACR. I'm not here to argue but just want to make sure that we are comparing the same fruit.

The 2008 broke the Nürburgring record.

the site states that it was a 2009 at the 7:21:1 time and then the 2010 did much better. August 2009 would have been a 2009 ACR I wouldn't think that they would use an older Viper. Please show 2008 Dodge Viper ACR Track Record.

found it. Yes you are correct and I am wrong. I see a wing signed and dated august 2008.
a Gen 4 is still not worth 300K......

No worries bud and 300k for a G4 is probably a stretch, but hell we can always dream right!
