    0Y 100K Warranty

    A few weeks ago I wrote about my problem with FCA about the 10Y/100K extended warranty for my 2013 LE GTS. The vehicle was subject to both the R28-R29 recall and passed both, but was not listed in the dealers computer system as qualifying for the extended warranty. I never received any correspondence about warranty upgrades. Some of you were kind enough to send me copies of the letter you received indicating that you had gotten this extension while other sent me the last 7 of their VIN. to use for further research. After some long discussions with FCA, the computer system, with the acronym V.I.P., (Vehicle Information Plus ) now lists my Viper as indeed having this extended warranty. As some of you have indicated that you also have passes both recalls but have no indication of this extension, I would suggest you call FCA and have them use this computer system to further verify your status. Don't give up. I spent a lot of time on the phone and it worked for me.

    I'm glad it worked out. my 14' was subject to both recalls and indeed had the 10/100K warranty put in the system. I even went as far as having the service department print out the extended warranty and keep it in the glove box "just in case".

    What number did you call and what information in addition to the VIN did you provide FCA for this?

    Who did you guys contact to take care of this for you? I am having problems with recall results.

    My dealer ran my vin and said that the R29 was completed but the R28 was not. They performed the R28, sent the kit in, but never received the results. They seem to have been lost. The phone number they have from the paperwork is to Arrow, but they have been bought by Prefix and the phone number is now no good. It has been 2 months and still no results.

    I run my vin online and it says that the R28 was done in 2016 and it has been resolved. That’s all it says, nothing about an extended warranty.

    Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

    After talking to SRT they said that I have an extended warranty on the car and the recalls were both done. The computer system shows the warranty on the car. So it seems like I am good.
