Didn't know that Jack, and wasn't explained that so that's news to me. I thought it was only those gears. I've kept same final drive.
gonna be a mean machine for sure!

Pics of the tillet seats installed? Did you gain a bunch of helmet clearance?

That's to be confirmed. Once car is back with me, I will take it over to them and ask them to sort something out please! Will revert once this is done.

Strad this looks epic. Cant wait to read your findings after you get it back and get used to it. If I read right you added some splitter and diffusers? Is that even more down force than stock?

I like that simple red accent at the base of the mirrors. Nicely done.

Doug Shelby makes the extensions for the splitter and diffuser.

Congrats, nice build! Why the Mocal trans/diff coolers vs DSE, if you don't mind me asking?

    Enjoy the car sir!

Looks very cool. I am curious though - who services your car in the UK? I assume you have a private mechanic you trust? What is his or her comfort level with working on the modified car?

Your new 2nd gear will make you think you are in 1st gear. I know why SRT selected the G5 ratio's, but, the G4 ratio's feel so much stronger in the G5

What are the ratios for the "new" gears he's getting?

I'm strongly considering a gear swap in mine, so I'm curious.

Hope there is still time to get the gears sorted out before you receive it...... A 9 liter on SPA, Nurb etc. ...Man cant wait to hear about and see vids of this beast on those tracks.

It was a question of logistics. It was touch and go in terms of Doug having the kit available(as he was just lining up production) as car was already at Prefix. So Scot did a similar setup that he had used before. Mocal/Setrab are pretty similar anyway. And the added advantage of Mocal being British helps with any parts issue over here.

Cheers. The extended splitter/diffusers are Doug Shelby's

These cars are simple to deal with, and not too complex. Yes I have a mechanic who does the basic checks. Also have access to a couple of other guys who know the cars well..

You are correct Jack. I have had confirmation from Scot. Hopefully that will be great!

Going to be amazing! Must have been so hard to wait for it through the season? Can't believe you didn't go out and buy another one in the meantime.

Even if it was possible I'm not sure why you would want to go to the considerably lower 1st gear and leave 2nd the same. That would result in a big jump on your 1st to 2nd gear shifts.

Yeah tell me about! Been getting serious withdrawal symptoms! Not many other ACR's here in Europe unfortunately, so instead bought a Manthey 410 hp 996 GT3 Clubsport to play with in the meantime..! Not an ACR but good fun
Edit: Sorry but it seems you cannot delete photos from a post! I accidentally uploaded an image that my son had mucked around with as well-thinking of adding a splash of black as well!

I knew it!!!!! LOL!! Great car and lot's of fun! I had something like it awhile ago. Not a GT3 though. Bought it literally a month before learning the GT3 was becoming available.

The ACR is going to be completely transformed when it get's back. Really like the 5th gear choice. I am guessing you probably use it often? With the corner speeds the car is capable of and now the marked improvement in acceleration not much is going to have anything for you and if it does it will still need to be very well driven.

Awesome build and glad it’s finally coming together. Can’t wait until you get it back on track over there to hear your thoughts on the mods! Enjoy!

Here is a good link, most of the 6060 ratio's are listed in a pdf:

Here is what I found out with a decibel meter on custom Harley 110 inch motor... with the pipes turned out to the side it was louder to those who were next to you.... but when i turned the pipes where the opening was turned down it was quieter to those along side of you BUT standing on the infield of a race track it is louder tuning exhaust toward the ground..(sound reflects of of road surface and is louder). So the difference is where the listening party is in comparison to the vehicle.
With a h/c v-10 with cut outs with turn down openings... at an idle.... it will be an event.... for us seasoned ole farm guys.... it will bring back memories of that “B” John Deere on a cold morning plowing 2 year old alfalfa field...ahh the good old days..... lol

There is less drop off in Rpms on d shift 2-3 and 3-4 on the gen V ratios. Also 1-2 shift rpm drop is less on the V.

Yes. Well tbh I don't know what exactly will happen. Which is why we turned them slightly obliquely and not 6 o'clock to lessen bounce off road. We'll see I guess...Worse case scenario, if its worse I can always just saw off the extra bit and make it flush again.
