I have recently purchased a 2010 SRT Final Edition Roadster. I have the original keys but the outside driver door lock seems to be seized and won’t turn. Any thoughts on this? I’ve tried a shot or 2 of WD40 but no change. Is this common?

It's my understanding it is a common issue. Mine was stiff, but I was able to turn the lock so I never looked any further for solutions to fix it. However, a few guys give suggestions for turning the lock in this thread.

In that thread Fatman2006 posted, it explains you need to apply pressure to the door (shutting it) and it'll turn a lot of the time.
For those who don't take the time to follow the link above:
Get rid of the WD 40 (it will attract moisture). And, YES...it is alarming to twist the key that hard. If you decide the lock is really frozen, try a tiny amount of a branded penetrating oil (Kroil, PB Blaster, Schaffer's Penetro 90). Keep in mind that this keyhole has two functions...one electrical, one mechanical. I regularly lube these keyholes with a THIN film of white lithium grease placed on the key which then I use to cycle the lock.
My question is...are there any significant upgrades on the gen 4’s between 2008 and 2010
