The Prairie Rattlesnake has finally arrived. Brand new 2017 ACR-Extreme in Black with a Red driver's side stripe. Minimal carbon exposed on the exterior and lots on the inside. Carbon brakes and X-brace. Pretty much the exact spec I was looking for. The only thing I really wish was different is the 12 o'clock stripe on the steering wheel. Personally, think it would look better in red. Nonetheless, I was exceptionally relieved that she made the trip from British Columbia to Manitoba safe and sound. I will be installing a DSE catch can tomorrow and then next week it's getting full Ceramic Pro. Mods will be fairly minimal, but there will definitely be a few changes to come.

Yes. Brand new, never titled. I am the first owner. There are still a couple untitled ACRs sitting at the dealership here in Canada.

Got a chance to tackle the DSE catch can install this afternoon. I went with the single sealed unit. It should be more than adequate and help provide some added peace of mind.

I will say, the installation took a lot longer than anticipated. This was by no means the fault of Doug's product (which I will add is very high quality). While the area around the PCV is quite open, it's very tight around the inlet for the intake manifold which makes the process much more painful. I also decided to remove the X-brace for the installation which adds a few minutes on to each end. I won't go into a ton of detail as others have already outlined the process. However, I will provide a few hopefully helpful tips for anyone looking to install a catch can in the future:

1) The blue portion of the PCV will come-out by spinning it counter-clockwise. Don't waste your time trying to separate the OEM elbow from the blue insert. Just cut it off with a razor blade and be done with it. The blue piece has teeth which grip the rubber making it next to impossible to separate.

2) There is a little plastic arm attached to the intake manifold which holds the plastic OEM tube in place. Unfortunately, the new hose is much thicker than the plastic tube which means you'll need to route the hose around this support (although I was very tempted to just break it off by the end). I found this problematic as I had removed the entire elbow from the intake manifold in order to attach it to the hose. This likely made things more difficult, but with the lack of space, I'm not sure it's really possible to do it any other way. Needless to say, space is not very plentiful between the two intake tubes which is only amplified when trying to squeeze a clamp and manipulate a stubborn piece of rubber. After about an hour or so of trying, I finally gave-up and went to the hardware store to purchase a traditional screw-type 5/16" clamp instead. From there, I found angling the elbow about 90 degrees towards the front of the car allowed the elbow to fully seat itself into position (see picture below). As a result, I then routed the hose over the alternator before heading back to the catch can.

Everything seems to be working. I guess we will find out for sure in a few miles...

You could get red or gray. The stitching in the interior would also correspond in the same color.

beautiful car, good luck with it. If it helps anyone, on my catch can install, I unscrewed both throttle bodies (8 screws total) and that created a nice opening to get to the line going into your intake.

Car is now back from Canadian Auto Shield. They did a single stage paint correction and then applied the Ceramic Pro Gold Package. Pictures don't do it justice.
