Pics of my new to me launch edition and upcoming mods

I figured I'd do a quick intro. I'm new to the viper world but appreciate all I've learned so far here and am a lover of cars. I've always loved them but hadn't yet found the right car at the right time. Last week a 10k miles launch edition showed up in Texas and I flew down this week and drove it back. I've been stuck on the blue/white scheme b/c I've always felt its a classic viper look. The car is super clean so I took it straight to my PPF guy for a typical front clip PPF package and 20% window tint....I'm happy with how both turned out. Next week the plan is to install:

    -lowering caps
    -clear front reflectors
-Forgestar CF5V wheels in 19" (thanks nineball!)
-some sort of exhaust modification...im thinking just a HF cat package for now as the heat is a little crazy

The only items I want to address on the car are (and as I search more it seems fairly common) torn triangle pads on behind the a-pillars next to the side mirrors. I've searched but can't seem to find the part number for just the triangle seals...if anyone has that handy I would appreciate it.

I'd love to see what others have done to their launch editions and look forward to being a part of the forum.

Congrats and welcome! PPF and seat lowering kit are the only mod I've done to my LE, but I've been contemplating lowers caps and wheels. Be sure to post some pics when you get those Forgestar's mounted up.

welcome to the snake pit...again? GT350R in the background

highly recommend the bellanger exhaust for the HF cats to get rid of the side sill heat and get much better looking exhaust tips

Congrats! I'm hoping to be able to make the same post in the coming months as I'm looking for a LE myself. Is your car #90 by chance?

I have had my Launch Edition for about 1.5 years and still love it! Mine has a bunch of modifications but I think I may finally be done (it was between going back to stock and twin turbos, so I settled in the middle). It has lowering caps, wheel spacers, matte Sidewinder II’s as well as A&C Performance heads and cam. The car pulls hard and turns heads with the lopey cam. Usually I only keep cars for a year or two but I think this one will stay for a while.

    some other worthwhile mods:

Doug Shelby Engineering (DSE) Window Bosses - Common issue with the G5, the plastic bushings for the power windows are brittle and end up having power window noises and failures

DSE Intake Heat Shield - when you look in the engine bay you can see the radiator exhausts right on the intake box. Heat shield prevents a lot of heat soak and pulling of engine timing. Engine timing starts being pulled around 80 something degrees, doesnt take much.

Skip Shift Eliminator - you may encounter the stupid skip shift feature (for EPA purposes) when shifting 1->2 around 15-17 mph and under 20% throttle. I find this to be dangerous because its a loss of power at slow speeds and the person behind you may not react in time. Extremely easy to install. https://www.amazon.com/Muzzys-CAGS-S.../dp/B01AO328FW

If you plan to tune it later, either with a reflash or an arrow pcm, the tune can get rid of the skipshift as well, in addition to improving throttle response to the pedal input.

Cool, only reason I asked is because last week #90 popped up in Texas but has since disappeared. Enjoy your beauty!
