    Gen 3 Wiper Blades revisited

I know that only OEM Mopar blades fit this car. But...has anyone ever experimented with the wiper arm from a different Mopar product, maybe Caravan/Dakota/Dart...to see if that wiper arm would match up with the splines on the Viper wiper motor? Then you could just use AutoZone wiper blades.

Tell me...am I on to something, or just on something?

Holy crap. Some people on here are just flat-out rude. You asked a simple question and the Douche Brigade mounted up. Sorry they attacked you, dude. Kinda makes you think twice about posting here.

Yeah bro I agree, they came out like fucking hyenas lol. I have a good laugh everytime keyboard warriors get worked up about something.

Back to your original question, I'm still out of the country right now so I haven't had time to look at possible alternatives. A few guys from my thread did have some useful information though, like the PN for the original wiper arm, Left arm is 04865504ae, right is 04865505ae ( courtesy of ACtechOPS) thank you for that.

You could cross-reference to other wiper arms, for a possible match with a different wiper blade connector. As you suggested, find another arm that fits the spline, and has the same dimension and sweep of a Viper arm.

Or, you could look at switching out just the plastic wiper connector and leaving the original arm. I don't know if the plastic connector itself, is unique to the arm, but if it's not, then it's possible another plastic connector will fit on the arm.

If you get around to it let me know!

I'm just going to get an AutoZone wiper blade and some JB Weld and make it happen.

I wouldn't worry about what was said on that other thread. If you find a good substitute, plenty of people will be appreciative. This has been shown to be true in other threads where people have found less expensive substitutes for some parts.

What I have found is pervasive on the internet is that people feel free to attack and denigrate strangers. It must make them feel better about whatever is wrong in their life, I think. You would think that with Viper enthusiasts it would be different; but, there are still some here.
