    Wheel question

    Quick question,

Is there anything else needed in order to fit H-Spokes on a Gen II GTS?

    Thanks,

Nope, they will bolt right on and give your car a modern feel. You will obviously need tires. Love the H wheels

Opinions differ, but G5 Sidewinders on your yellow GTS would look waaaay nice, and update the look.

G5s "look like" G2s anyway, and the G5 wheels cinch it......

G5 SW2 Waaay lighter than H-spokes too....Hs are 2nd-heaviest OE Viper Wheel. Your GTS suspension hates heavy wheels, Not designed for heavy, and now with 13 year old shocks? Go LIGHT not lumbering..

I weighed my Sidewinder II wheels when those came in.

    Fronts - 19.4lbs.
    Rears - 24.1lbs.

Nice! Is that what you had before the ACR? How long did you have it?

Do like the look of the H's

Those SW2's would look good as well. Why do you guys have to go and do that!

I had the 08 for about a year. the H wheels are one of my favorites, but as Jon B stated they are heavy, but should not be much heavier that what you have. The new G5 wheels look pretty good too.

FrgMstr- not only did you have to post the wheels...but on the one color of Viper that is at the top of the list for the next one!!

Personally, the weight of the wheel doesn't really matter to me in the sense that I will not be tracking etc. That said, I do like the look of a some of the V's wheel options.

But think about your poor yellow best friend, who you are sentencing to a life wearing COMBAT BOOTS whilst you run around in Nike Airs! No more nimble steering; No more responsive aluminum suspension. Beset by 85-lb rear, unsprung rotating masses, when <70 lbs was the design! The poor shocks get overpowered and the ride goes to heck.
The power-steering rack and cooler gets even hotter due to the extra weights.

I can hear your GTS calling to you from your garage: "You own a race-car chassis, please don't hobble me!"

I picked up my 97 to be a fun daily driver, and it has been.

H spokes are both cheap and different. Thats why I went with them. I like NOT seeing other Gen2's with these wheels. They aren't light, wouldn't recommend for opentrack events.
