Hello Everyone, My name is Payton, I’m located in Orlando, Florida and I am new too the forum. I have always wanted a Viper and it has been my goal for the past several years to be in a position to buy one. Being there now, I’m looking for a Gen 3 or Gen 4 viper hopefully in the next several months. This has been my dream car since I was 12 and I’m really looking forward to being able to say I own one.

I would really appreciate any advice that you seasoned owners could offer me in terms of what too look for when buying one of these fantastic machines. This won’t be a daily driver by any means, and more than likely just a street car for me. It’s hard because I really don’t know where to start. I want to make sure that I am going to buy the right car that wasn’t abused during its previous ownership. Like I said, any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you all, and I look forward to becoming part of the Viper family!

Hi Payton.
I live in Oviedo. After spending countless hours researching on this forum feel free to let us know what specific questions u may have. Try hanging around the local car meets and meet some of us delinquents! I'm sure most of us would take u for a ride to see some differences in gens. I myself have a gen 5 GT. Narrow it down to which gen, and which must have options, then start the hunt.

Hello Latamud,

I have seen several cars at some meets and such, really looking forward to meeting some owners! I was actually looking at a silver Gen 3 in Tampa. I really am hoping to meet some owners who might be willing to take a look at the car with me and point out anything they think may be an issue. It’s hard not knowing exactly what too look for on these cars because of my limited experience with them. I will be continuing my research, but I think I am ultimately settling for a Gen 3 because of price point.
