Brake rotors and pads for street

I need to get new rotors and pads for the 98 gts. I have found on-line discussions that essentially state that almost all rotors are cast in China and finished/coated here in the U.S. Some have gone so far to say, that most of the time you are just paying for a name, when it comes to one-piece types. I am looking for a slotted, one-piece rotor and pad setup that produces a minimum of dust, has good street stopping power, and decent wear characteristics. What combo have you guys settled on that doesn't brake the bank and makes you happy? I only street the car. (I am not going to larger rotors, just the OEM size)
