Ohio Convoy to the 2014 Tail of the Dragon Event

*Note: I moved the meeting location to the south side of Cincinnati to be more convenient. In the original plan, some people would have been back tracking, which is no good.

Event details (based on previous trips, just to give you an idea of what you're getting into )

Thursday 5.29
- All day road trip starting from our meeting point in Cincinnati to Gatlinburg, TN.

Friday 5.30
- Depart the hotel and drive to Cracker Barrel for breakfast. It's about a 90 minute drive. Usually the Cracker Barrel west of Knoxville off Campbell Station Road (there are multiple close to there).
- Leave breakfast to run the Cherahola Skyway & the Tail of the Dragon.
- Drive back to Gatlinburg for dinner.

Saturday 5.31
- Scenic driving through the mountains with a stop for lunch.
- Evening parade through Gatlinburg (this is pretty cool).

Sunday 6.30
- Start the drive back still grinning from all the fun you've had.

That sounds like a great time. I'd love to drive over from Indy if schedule allows. Would you guys be interested in talking with the Central Indiana club to see if a 2-region caravan would be possible? If so, I'm happy to relay the info to the organizers here.

Ron, we would definitely love to have you guys. I have mentioned this to victoryman100 on the forums in the main ToD thread. He said he had several people interested in driving down from Indianapolis to join. GreenVenom said yesterday that he is planning to be in that group. Dave is planning to join as well, but we will pick him up farther south on our way down 75.

I sent Steve the preliminary dates and the convoy starting point of Cincinnati so that he could relay that in one of the IN/KY meetings.

You should definitely join us. In 2011 & 2012 we had a small convoy drive down from the IN/KY club, usually 4-6 cars. It was fun to drive down in a group of Vipers in addition to all the fun of the actual event.

Any other cars going down? I have a buddy with a c6 that would join the convoy if it's not forbidden...lol. After all it is a viper convoy and event so it would be fine if other cars really shouldn't be in it.

That would be entirely up to you guys. But, when we do the cruises, parade, etc over the weekend, we prefer all the Non-vipers be in the rear or up front. Basically, for pictures. Not hating on anyone or vehicle. See y'all in a few weeks!
