Sorry that I just found this. Hopefully, you solved the problem. If not, just call me 317-402-9013.

It's certainly happened to others. I'm trying to recall my Gen3 days, but I remember shorting 2 pins under the hood to pop the trunk on many occasions for others. Don't recall which pins they were since it's been well over 10 years, but I'm sure it's somewhere on the forums.

I'm sure you've resolved it by now though.

I would add that if this happens to someone, I would politely suggest that the Viper driver MAKE A PHONE CALL instead of sending a "be your friend" message via this site...particularly at night. There are several of us whose phone numbers are all over this forum...the use of which generally works best. Some of us get a dozen or two of this type call annually...NOT countion the "alarm shut down calls".

Interestingly, followup attempts to reach the original poster have all gone unanswered...both from me and from a well know Viper guru.

Admittedly, I have had the same thought.

Maybe he ended up locking himself in the trunk on the side of the road?

Just got a text from original poster: They had a key cut.

I appreciate this followup...glad it all worked out.

I am still happy to help "electronically" should the need arise.
