2017 GTS R Car Cover Replacement

I’m looking to purchase a pre-owned GTS-R but the original cover that came with the car is missing. Does anyone know if this can be ordered/re-produced? I know it’s a custome thing, so I wasn’t sure. 😬

Someone might chime in on it - I believe that is a custom order, but I'm sure some manufacturer can replicate it if you're willing to pay enough for it. I've found that the covers from the Gen IV ACR cars fit just fine on the Gen V ACR-E cars - a bit snug, but they fit. If you just want to protect the car, that's the route I'd go. If you want the original cover, you'll probably have to jump through some hoops because I believe the cover has the original owner's name embroidered on it.

Thanks Martin-the dashplaque doesn’t have name other than simply “Dodge Viper.” So, I guess I had thought the name and numbered vehicle was on the cover. . But that’s just a guess though. I wonder if Mopar could remake?

The covers were made by Cover King. I am sure they will provide a duplicate.

I believe the embroidory duplicates what is on the dash plaque.

This matched what we have on the plaque. The GTS-R May be different though as the plaques I do not believe were personalized. But if you order you can have anything embroidered that you want.

If the GTS-R was factory ordered through a dealer you could opt to have your name on it but the stock ones such as the cars at Tomball do not have any name on it. It's cool if you intend to keep the car forever not so cool for next guy when you sell it eventually.

Right which is why the factory also gives you a generic ACR dash plague on the side if you ordered a car with a custom one which might have your name on it.

I remember it being difficult to obtain my car cover. The dealer was in the dark on it and I had my car delivered and owned it for some time before getting the cover. Reaching out to Cover King directly was definitely the answer. Lol Dodge.

Also give some thought to what you want the cover to accomplish. I have two covers on mine (both from Cover King) - one is the thick fluffy cover, and the second is similar to the stock cover (really thin and good for keeping dust off the car). The reason I do this is that I had a bad experience with my Gen II GTS when something in the garage accidentally dropped on it and put a chip in the paint. With two covers, you have an extra margin of safety for unexpected falling objects or other mistakes that happen if you have kids or keep things hanging from the ceiling of the garage.
