Yeah saw that one, if it wasn’t salvage and was wayyy cheaper I might consider it.

That’s a ridiculous amount for a salvage title car even with the homegrown TT kit.

I plan to do a stock motor TT build on mine (easily reverted back to stock), but would rather start with a clean car.

Some of these colors are becoming very hard to purchase as cars are finally getting into hands of people who have no reason to sell them. If you can find one, grab it and hold onto it.

Pretty much all of them are eventually going to be super difficult to find. Factoring in the half-life of these cars (I'm amazed at how many I hear got wrecked or have "stories"), and the rare colors and options, and it gets super tough to find what you want. I went through this when I was trying to replace my GTS Blue and Black Gen IV. They just weren't out there at any price, so I gave up. Stryker Purple is one of those weird colors that was super scary to order - so not many of them were ordered. In fact, the dealer I ordered mine from was scared that I might not take delivery and he was going to be stuck with a car that he couldn't move. As it turned out, the color is fantastic and I'm glad I rolled the dice on it - but it could have been a giant mistake since I had never seen the color in person and for all I knew it was going to look like a giant eggplant.

Stryker Purple is the nicest Gen V color that was produced. Hands down. I’ve seen all the 1of1’s and Stryker colors and nothing sets you back when you see SP.

I said that SP was my fav and what I consider he best color. Unfortunately, I’m not a big fan of most of the combinations that were done. Most clash in my opinion. My fav cars are the few that are solid SP.

Not feeling the SP with the green stripe up top. Maybe if I saw it in person, but just doesn't look right. I like SP with juts a red driver's stripe.

Yeah, I tend to agree. I got the black center stripe because I wanted it to have the "classic" ACR look, but that black stripe covers up a lot of the purple. Kind of a shame since that was expensive paint - but maybe a blessing if I get a chip on the black paint. That SP would be a nightmare to try and match if it got damaged...

My SP has no stripes but I did consider billet silver at one point as those stripes really pop with the SP. In the end I just couldn't bring myself to put anything on SP...I just love the color as it is.

It's beautiful. I'm constantly amazed at how the color changes in different lighting conditions - I've seen mine go from almost a reddish color, to almost blue, to dazzling purple, to dark purple. Very cool how they did the paint on these cars - definitely a keeper.

Oh, and one thing that I'd highly recommend - have a look at having the orange side markers covered with smoke tinted wrap. The markers still work as they're supposed to, but the side markers almost disappear. In my opinion, those side markers are a distraction from the color of the car - and making them go away is a subtle but really cool improvement.

    ^^^ I agree with this.

And, to Martin's point, it was definitely difficult to order without having seen it. And, interestingly, the color looks amazing on a Viper, but not so amazing on other cars. I recently saw an SVJ Lambo in the color and, frankly, it would not be the color I would order. But if I were doing a 1-of-1 again, SP for me all day long (with stripes, of course). Snakeskin green a very close second for me.

I did this and it makes a huge difference! The second pic shows that it still shines yellow.

When I was about ready to order mine I was living/working in DaresSalaam so visiting a dealer was not possible. So I got on my iPad and contacted Bill Pemberton at Woodhouse via Facetime. We discussed Stryker Purple and the purple color used on Challengers (Plumb Crazy?). He assured me the Stryker Purple "popped" especially in the sun. He was right! Then before I made the final plunge I contacted a friend I knew who had worked for Chrysler for many years and he said the colors chosen for the Vipers don't just happen. Certain colors only work depending on the lines of the car. He assured me the Stryker Purple was well researched so I pulled the trigger and placed my order.

Painful to see pics of wrecked Stryker Purples but there are several. Not many made either. When I ordered my 16 GTC in SP I was just glad they made them in purple but Stryker Purple is unbelievable in person. I'm glad I paid the extra bucks. Here is my 2017 ACR with white stripes one of one. The dealer in Georgia that ordered 136 of them sold one identical to mine with brass monkey wheels instead. So cool here is mine right before factory pick up...scottsviperacr137.jpg

I think the one identical to yours is owned by the President of the Texas VOA. Saw that car at the Viper plant closing and it was truly a standout. Just beautiful. You are a very lucky guy!
