Anyone has had codes appear with K&N drop in filter and Smooth tubes?

I 've been reading ( a lot here) about , the K&N and also green air filters, and also thinking of buying smooth tubes for my Gen V, the question is, my car is 100% stock, and it's a '13, it has 30 k miles now and I Drive it hard, but I'm not getting a tune for now and don't want to risk the warranty, but I'm interested in modding it a bit, was thinking of going with the DSG heat shield, K&N drop in and smooth tubes for now, but I've read that there are some codes popping up and also that the K&N really didn't do much, so I'm masking here by experience what should I go with , the car will be heading for H&C later in it's life but just a little more power for now.

I have a K&N drop in filter and smooth tubes. I’ve had no codes but also have an Arrow PCM.

It is my understanding that on a Dyno the K&N offered no improvement over stock. I run the DSE heat shield and there is a very noticeable difference with the IAT readings. Generally I average only 10 degrees above ambient. Without the shield it was at least 30 degrees. With the cooler readings the computer wont pull as much timing out of the motor and provide you with additional horsepower.

From what I've heard, the K&N doesn't get you much if any HP over the stock filter. Smooth tubes I don't know much about, but I know on my Gen IV that some people had issues with the throttle bodies having issues due to the increased vibration and deformation from the stock units. Not sure about the Gen V, but if the throttle bodies plastic, I'd just let things stay stock until the warranty is well over with. For a potential couple HP gain, it's just not worth the cost in my opinion.

I'm running the Green Filter with Smooth Tubes on the Stock PCM (2014) for over 20k miles and never had error codes or issues.
