    New Trans Ratio versus MPH

Thought this may be of interest, I changed the 1-4 gears last year. I went to the Gen4, 2.66 1st gear. This year the 5th and 6th gears were changed to a 0..8, 5th and a 0.5, 6th.

Here are the rpm versus the mph with the 19" Toyo 888R. The Toyo measure the same as the OEM Corsa's.

Which gear? BTW, the speeds are not from a table, they came from a gps measurement at 2000 rpm for each gear.

Those lineup with what the math says, but the Viper can only get to around 161mph in 6th with the .50 gear in stock setup. So your top speed will be in 5th, and I believe the limiter is set to 6400RPM for stock ECU.

I think we all know the 0.5 gearset is only for cruising, however, the 9L should beat that number you quoted. I believe the HC/9L has the limiter st 6800, I only used 6500 because it was an even multiplier.

The limiter can be changed with a tune of course, and I've read that 6500-6600 is a pretty safe so your 6500 RPM number seems reasonable.
