I went to Mopar Online Parts - I think all of the "online Mopar sites" are the same, but I've ordered from these guys before and they seem good. Shipping is outrageous, but that is what it is...

Ordered mine from them over the weekend. Called today to verify if they will def be in stock and shipped. Guy claims that they are in stick and will be to me in 3 days. Great find Mathias, ty.
Now to see what I can do with bulk speaker grill material that I already ordered!

No go on the whole kit - just talked to the guys I ordered from, and they say that there is still no ETA for them. I mentioned that the roadblock before was the door grills, and the speakers and cones are available - so I kept the order open with the hope that everything becomes available soon. Keeping my fingers crossed but not holding my breath... If I can't get the whole kit, I'll just order the individual parts.

On that note, has anyone listed out all the parts needed to turn a 12 speaker system to an 18 speaker system? That would be hugely useful.

Just skeptical lol. We’ve all been looking for years and you walk in here having found the Holy Grail of audio like it’s nothing. Thank you though!

It has, but I got all confused many times re-rereading posts.
This is what I ordered below. Pic shows the speakers, nut inserts, screws, and speaker boxes. Then just order the 2 grills that Mathias posted above. Then a dealer "flash." Mine is at the dealer currently.

Thanks Troy!!! I just spent about two hours searching through the various posts, and I got completely confused as to which speakers would work, whether the base plates needed to be removed on them, whether there is an "extra" speaker included in the kit that I didn't need, and whether I needed the screws and bolts to install everything. Was also completely baffled as to whether the speaker opening cover was needed or not - half the posts said it was, half said it wasn't.

I'm gonna go ahead and order this stuff - thanks again for posting the part numbers and quantities!

EDIT: Got it all ordered, and hopefully I'll get the stuff soon and do the install this weekend. Price came out to be about the same as for the unobtainable kit, but going the a la carte method got me the rear covers, which I think are important. Not sure why Dodge decided to stop installing those - when you watch these cars go through the water blaster at CAAP, I'd think the speakers would be soaked.

Had me in analysis paralysis. I didn't want to order the wrong stuff and have to return it for a restocking fee, and I didn't want to forget to order one little thing and have to pay crazy shipping for it. Shipping always seems to start out at $9 with any of these guys - if you need to order one tiny little screw, you get screwed on the shipping.

Ordered the upper door speaker grills this morning thru moparonlineparts.com. $75.55 (both sides, including shipping). Awesome!!

I just tried to order these upper door speaker grills and they are showing on back order with no release date. Hopefully Doug Shelby Engineering will produce these speaker grills so that they will actually be available for purchase. I would much rather support Doug's business anyways.

Bummer - they may have just done a short run of them. My order is still showing "in process" with the delivery date showing "N/A" - so I bet I'm in the same boat. One way or another, I'm going to install the rest of the kit and wait for a good solution for the grills if I don't get them.

On that note, what would be an interesting option is to get a few of the lower grills and use that video method of pressing them into the right shape. That would look exactly like the OEM grills, and I'll bet two grills could be cut from each lower grill. Or, if it's possible to find the exact same unprocessed OEM grill material, that video showed a really interesting way to pop these out relatively easily.

EDIT: Well, just got the word that the grills aren't available anymore and my order got cancelled. That's kind of a bummer, but it is what it is. At least now I know what the part number is and I can keep searching for them. I'll still install the rest of the system and just wait for those grills to become available again.

I actually called the online dealer I bought mine from (moparpart.com). He checked and said he had them. If he is wrong, I guess I am back to custom making my own (or Dougs) with the metal speaker mesh I bought already. Had to buy a section about 4' by 1' so I will have some left over if anyone else needs some!
Will keep ya posted when mine come in....or not!
And that reminds me... Sorry to be part of this hijacking Doug.

Negative on the order from MoparPart.com. I just got an email stating the part is on back order. I ordered it first thing last Monday.

Same here - I ordered at a few places, and got no-go emails from all of them. Oh well - I guess the tweeters are going to have to sit behind the plates until there's a solution.

Hey Martin. Just received my box of speaker goodies and noticed a small mistake. The bolts are not correct. They must be for the larger door speakers. Looks like u will need screws #06505628AA qty-4. This is what I will get anyway. Sorry, but the diagram is not too clear.

I think I'll hit the local dealer for those - no way I'm paying $10 in shipping for $2 in parts

I've just ordered all of the speaker parts you've listed, Lost me beer, thanks! Now I'll patiently await DSE's perfecting of their grilles.

Yeah, I think a few people got lucky on these, and a few got unlucky. I got a "no go" email from everyone I tried to order from, so I suppose I'll have to wait a bit. Doug might figure a way to put together some OEM looking grills, so I figure all is not lost. Also, I'm not averse to just leaving the speakers bare for a while - the grill just pops in, so when they're finally available again, I'll just pop them in. I care more about the sound quality than the aesthetics, so leaving the grill off for a while doesn't bug me in the least.

hey martin, from what i've learned. you need to take the door panels off to install the upper door speaker grills. the tabs need to be inserted into the slots and then bent back to secure.. hope this helps, good luck. greg.
