Will buy only if they look OEM, the ones you have pictured do not look good.

Thanks Parabs....this is excellent information because I always wondered where and how they could possibly put 18 speakers into such a small interior. I really want to get an ACR-E with 18 speakers and not just the 12. I know a few dealers that got the 18 speakers by ordering the GTC with the Extreme option box ticked off. I'm going to eventually buy the Voodooo but they did not come with the 18 speakers just the 12.

Will there be any real world on track lap time comparisons anytime soon.
Can't have real world track times with a product that hasn't been made yet, but those with the OEM 18 speaker upgrade have typically shaved 0.78 seconds off their lap times.

Would be in for a pair as well!

Just bought the upper door speakers on-line from Dodge. I sure hope DSE can make OEM speaker grills.

Honestly for me if someone could create a set of CF door cards without the arm rests and bulk and thus make the doors lighter and a bit thinner so that better track seats can be installed, whilst still allowing provision for the electric window switches to be mounted I would be in like a shot! But I fear not many takers for that....

Step one was getting the basic shape right, will move on to refinement of the grille pattern and form. It’s not likely it will look exactly like the OEM grille with the center feature but will look a lot closer than the first article shown here.

hehe. I think just you and I would be the only buyers. Also, more than the door panel, it's the upper side area behind the window glass that makes it tough for a halo seat. The pillar curves in right there. It's like 6" closer to the driver than the door panel is.
Has anyone weighed a door panel yet? Everything is so light on this car I'm guessing 6-7 lbs a side.

mathias, did you get a delivery confirmation? Sometimes it’ll let you place an order even if it is on backorder.

And these are the upper door speaker grills? I haven't seen this part number before when researching this upgrade.

What he said. There isn’t a part number as far as I know...

Mathias can you post a picture of them installed?

I'll bet the full kit is available again soon. I'm half kicking myself for not spending the $2k for the upgrade from 12 speakers, but on the other hand, if I can get the whole kit for $500 and install it myself that just seemed stupid. Similar to buying the "lightweight" battery option - $200 for a battery option that is still a normal battery but has about 20% less capacity.

EDIT: Hmm - the whole kit is showing as in stock again. It's done that before (I tried ordering last year and it even sent me a "your order is being processed and about to ship" message). I ordered again and we'll see if it gets fulfilled. I actually don't have a problem with the 12 speaker system, but I hear that the 18 speaker system sounds a lot better.

I'm with you Martin. $2k seemed crazy. I lucked out and have found two kits out in the world. $300 for one and $600 for the other. Of course one is now in my Viper. Just got a Gen5 third brake light for $150. Moral of the story is a bit of BS'ing and scrounging can pay off.

Martin, where are you buying the kit from?
