This Gap look too tight

Is this too close? There is no rubbing or chipping but this gap looks too tight. I just got the car last month and am hoping I havent tweaked the alignment opening the hood already.. .The driver side with catch the fascia if I don't latch it first on the last click. Any recommendations on how to adjust if needed? all the other gaps are reasonable...

You need to shim the rebar out. Or move the hood back. Depends on how it looks at the other alignment points. You rarely see that tho. Looks like an improper repair.

Here's a list from one of my writeups I did on the fascia alignment process. There are way more shim points and types than many people are aware of. There are a total of 8 shim types and shim locations that affect the fascia to hood. They are in the list below, as well as the observation points to determine what and where you need to align.

* Hood fitment to doors
* Hood fitment to side sills
* Hood fitment to headlights
* Hood fitment to fascia at wheels - the proverbial "gap"
* Hood fitment to fascia between headlights, both left-right and up-down
* Fascia fitment to hood along the arc of the wheel well opening
* Fascia fitment to headlights
* Fascia fitment to hood at the "gap" area as viewed looking down

* Number of shims and location of them at hood guides near doors
* Number of shims and location of them at hood guides near side sills
* Number of shims and location of them between hood hinges and frame
* Number of shims and location of them between headlights and core support
* Number of shims and location of them between lower frame rails and core support
* Number of shims and location of them between upper frame rails and core support on sides
* Number of shims and location of them on fascia at wheel well openings to core support
* Number of shims and location of them on fascia on top of rebar
* Foam block (or lack thereof) between fascia and core support at upper wheel well opening screw
* Number of shims between rebar and frame
* Adjustability of hood latches i.e. can they be moved up and down

Thanks for the intial review guys, so from reading write-ups to increase the gap I need to pull the bumper cover, then add shims, and then re-install the cover to check. IS there a PN for the proper shims to do it? you guys using universal body shims?
