    New Gen IV Owner

    Hey guys,

Just purchased my first Viper this past weekend (2008 Very Viper Orange) and wanted to introduce myself. Name is Kyle and I'm a software geek in Raleigh, NC. I also have a 2006 SRT8 Jeep as my daily and an 02 Trans Am (cam/heads/etc).

Always been a dream of mine to own a Viper -- was originally looking at getting a Gen III, but I couldn't pass this up after I test drove it...absolutely in love with it so far. Feel free to give me any newbie tips or advice, and stoked to be part of the community.

Looks Great!! Be careful in cold weather mornings, can be very slippery. Get out and enjoy. You will get lots of attention now.

I appreciate all the compliments. Still seems surreal, I don't think I've ever been so giddy about a car before.

I definitely respect the power (and lack of traction/stability control). Having tires that are 3 feet wide don't hurt though ... but yeah, definitely gets even more attention than I anticipated.

By the way that's a sharp looking car and welcome.
The Charleston event sounds like it would've been a blast. I'll check out the Carolinas VOA, I only know a couple of other Viper owners here locally.

There are quite a few Vipers in the greater Raleigh area. Capital Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge is very Viper friendly and supports our region every year with our "Get Your Motor Running" event and is a VOA sponsor. The sales manager there is a very active member of the Carolina's VOA.

SlowHawk , with that ride you moved yourself to " Slowhand, " so time to change the moniker, ha. Of course FastSnake would work also.
