I don't know if it is identical, but if not, it's pretty close to the same as the Gen 5.

Edit: here are a couple pics, one with the coil covers on, and one with them off, both on the driver's side.

if you can, measure one, the G5 are all 11" (tip to tip) when straightened out.

Gen 4 and 5 use the same part number from Mopar, therefore they are the same!

That would have been my guess.

    Doug,

Also, what color? Hoping for the Henry Ford answer here...
Any color so long as it is black. And the same wires fit 2008-2017 as Scot says...

just compared your pic with my car, they mount differently, however, not enough to alter the the wire length.

Bumping this one back up - just installed the set of Moroso wires I ordered from Doug Shelby this weekend prior to taking it down for my clutch install. As was already stated, the Gen 4 and 5 plug wires are interchangeable, and the install was relatively painless.

I did not expect to notice anything at all since my stock wires had ~15k miles on them, but I'll be damned if my experience wasn't the same as Jack and slowhatch - smoother idle, and pulls cleaner when you get on it. My only guess is that the stock wires just don't like the amount of heat generated by the exhaust, and I don't even have headers. Either way, these wires are here to stay, and I'd highly recommend them, even if you don't have heavy mods.

Anyone have any info on the plug question?
What plugs work well with what for clean performance and/or RFI?
    Iridium?
    AC Delco?
    Autolite?
    E3?
    Something else?

    Gen 2

    Thank you in advance

On the question above, the stock Gen 3 plugs(RC12ECC) work best with the Gen 2.

My question is: Are the plugs the same G4/G5? Also since the wires are the same, are the coil packs the same. Any benefit to getting a HO coil for our cars?

Given the age, I would guess a new set of wires should have yielded the same results, no? Most wires should be tossed after 2-3 years just due to heat and age

I'm sure replacing them with a set of factory wires would probably net similar results, yes. I'm hoping that these wires will last a bit longer than the stock ones did. Time will tell. I'd also think that the mileage would have a larger impact than time in service when it comes to plug wires - 15k miles in the 10 years this car has been in existence isn't a lot of miles, especially considering 99% of those miles have been relatively easy on the car.

We have two Gen II Vipers here in the UK, both have AB wires and both cars are having ignition misfire issues! I can't say 100% its the wires but its strange as there was not an issue prior to having them fitted on one car.

I also know some other USA Owners have had issues.

Look back at my original post, items 4 and 5 make the high end aftermarket approach a better choice than the OEM wires.

Just installed a set of Moroso wires and Bosch HR5M+U sparkplugs and will echo what others have said, definitely cleans up the rpm band and is more responsive...

    Tools you will need:

I run without them. They weigh 34 oz combined and also trap heat in. They do make the motor look good though.. Looks like crap without them.

It doesn't look like "crap", It's called utilitarian
