My C2 corvette did this also. GTS will jerk forward/backward (like pulling a trailer at low speed) in first gear and low RPMs.
As soon as I get going car is smooth as silk.
Thoughts?

Typically it's the TBs out of sync. The drivers side should open first, just barely. If the passenger side is opening first, then the TPS is not able to send a signal to the PCM when it should.

I assumed it was caused by slopp in the drive train.
I'll look into syncing the throttle bodies and post back.
