Long time dreamer now Viper owner

New owner of 2001 GTS ACR with 27K miles. She arrived a day earlier than promised from Texas. Doesn't seem real yet ... had to check the garage today!

Did you buy this from a seller in North Texas (Frisco/Denton area)? Just curious because I had looked at one identical to this a couple months ago. The car looked great but I ended up going the Gen V route.

Very nice Viper . I can understand your excitement. When I got my 99 RT-10 in 2007 I would go out to the garage look at and sit in it a lot. It was a long time coming and I wanted to be sure it was still. Enjoy the car and drive it often.

Yep, that's the one. Did you look at in person? It has crease cracks in the stripe on the front bumper--a lot on one, a few on the other. Apparently, his foot slipped off the clutch and the car pressed up against the his mountain bike. I'm glad he disclosed that fact. I would have been a bit upset otherwise. Now, I just need to find a talented paint guy in the area.

Thanks, sound exactly where I am at now. I was looking at clean, real low mileage cars until this one turned up. Pretty glad it did, because I would have had difficulty taking a beautiful garage queen and turning it into a driver's car. This one has a few superficial scratches here and there, including a couple on the top of the whale tail, and a not so superficial scratch on the driver's side roof. I plan to take real good care of it, but now I won't be too worried about a few more scratches.

Very cool. I never saw it in person but all the pics he had made it look real nice. He did tel me the paint wasn't perfect, which I hardly expected, anyways. I'm glad you're happy with it. I think the wheels are the best part about that car. Those things are pretty rare, too.

    Congrats!!

You will have to come to Fluids Day on 4/21 in Gaithersburg. We have (2) long time Gen II owners who do complete maintenance on theirs.

Plus we can take pics of our twin cars !!

Congrats! 4 years ago yesterday I brought my ‘01 ACR home. I kept peeking into the garage making sure it was still there and I wasn’t dreaming. That feeling still hasn’t gone away lol
    Enjoy your new ride!

Very nice! Congrats and enjoy driving her! I've had mine for 3 years and I still have to open the garage door to make sure it is still true :-)

I'm very happy despite the imperfections. Certainly, looks good for 17 years. Have to admit the wheels had me chasing an ACR. First order of business is changing out the springs. Lots of nice back roads around here, but as one would expect they are not are too smooth. Love to get it softened up enough to be able enjoy regular rides on our back roads. Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!
