Started today, ran for 60 seconds, good oil pressure with the gen 4 oil pan mod. Idle is perfect Cam/Tune is spot on. NO Leaks, I have to take the side cover off the exhaust as i have a 1/4 inch gap I can't pull up with the v band clamps. Should drive tomorrow. Will post dyno results in a few weeks. As for total time, 25-27 hours. Thanks for all the input from users here. could not have done this without the help!

For pulling the intake I used this a tort, 1/4 gear wrench and a small flat magnet from inside a old computer hard drive. Works on all the hard to reach intake bolts.

Great idea! Any issues with the install? Or pretty much straight forward? How's that cam idle? Love cammed vipers. Do you plan on tracking your car? Is that the reason for the gen 4 oil pan?

I want to do Z-Day at Road Atlanta this year. Lopped cam sounds great. Only install issues are caused by me. Small water leak at the return hose. I also had plug wires 2 and 6 backwards. Did not run well on the test drive. Leak only showed after a trip around the block. I have a squeel like a loose fan belt. I'll work it tomorrow.

Did you have to degree your cam? Or was it in spec? Any videos?

You do not have to degree but you should!

I checked the cam by marking the damper with painters tape and the open /close for both int/ext. All Spot On when I put the dial indicator on the lifters.
The hard part was finding #1 TDC as the piston stops at that position for a few degrees. You just mark the spot of up travel stops and then when down travel starts, split the difference you you have true TDC (Top Dead Center).

Impressive! So did you do any custom tuning or is it just a canned tune from Roe?

We started with the Roe can tune, and worked from there. The head port and CR ratio caused the can tune to be extra rich!!!

Strong results and sounds great! Has me looking forward to my heads and cam install this winter. Any plans for more tuning? 11.5:1 is still pretty rich for a pump fuel NA build.
