2018 Viper Fluids Day

Spring is almost here, and it’s time to take care of the necessary maintenance items on your Viper. One of the best parts of owning a car like a Viper is the camaraderie and knowledge of fellow owners. That is what makes this day so inviting. Join other enthusiasts wash, repair, maintain, and converge on all things cars and life. To help accommodate your projects, a shop in the heart of Montgomery County, MD has been reserved to allow all Vipers to come and enjoy a fun day of working on cars. All mechanical levels are welcome! Seasoned Viper mechanics will be on hand to help guide anyone on repairs and maintenance processes.

I'll be working (I work every weekend) but I do hope to catch up with you guys one of these days... Sounds like a good idea. My G1 is due for a clutch fluid swap and it's a PIA to do it on stands in my garage!! I'd be there if I could.

8 days away! There will be fluid extractors, brake bleed equipment and plenty of general tools available. As of today, weather looks good, 62 and mostly sunny.

Charlie - thanks for getting this set up. I would like to do a clutch fluid change. Currently has DOT3 and I am fairly certain it should have DOT4. How much DOT4 (and brand) should I bring? AND is there anything else I can contribute/bring to help out. I will definitely need to take advantage of the Viper mechanic expertise as I'm a fairly new owner and have not yet done any work on my snake. Excited to participate, Jerry

The Gen IV service manual says DOT 4 - guessing it would be safe for a Gen III as well, but I would do a quick look in your owner's manual to verify. Quantity will be the same - 12 oz.

Great, glad you are coming! You need DOT 4.

All you need to bring is a few dollars for some lunch and drinks.

The attached picture shows how to get to the shop off Crabbs Branch Way. Google Maps doesn't show Gramercy Blvd actually being a road going into the compound, but I promise it's there. Haha.

For those that want to spend some time detailing their cars or doing a quick clean up after fluids are changed. The enclosed wash bay will be open.

I stopped over on my way home from work around 2:30.... I didn't know it was gated event. Saw two vipers in the lot through the fence so I know I was in the right place. I didn't know how to get in. I was in my jeep and didn't see anyone around.
