    2000 w 9k miles

I’m about to buy a 2000 with only 9k miles on it. Tires are original(?!), so clearly they will need immediate replacement. What else goes bad over time, not miles. Thanks in advance!

There's lots of thread on this site regarding this topic..
Things that come to mind are change all your fluids, replace your power steering pulley and bracket with IPSCO's, you mentioned tires and lastly, put some miles on it.
Sure others will chime in with more.
    Good luck and congrats.

I second what Daveg said. Do all fluids and definitely the powersteering pulley and bracket. You can talk to Jon B at parts rack for that. He's good to deal with.
You will enjoy your new Viper for sure!
HAve you had other performance cars or is the Viper your first?
Where are you located? Contact the VOA chapter in your area and meet up with some of the guys!!

Thanks for the warm introduction, guys. I'm Zak, I live in Dallas, and I will definitely be looking up the locals. I wouldn't say I'm a huge "car guy" beyond lifelong lusting after them going back to high school (I'm 44 now). In other words, I'm the kind of guy who can do an oil change but that's about it. The closest I've been to muscle is a '95 Porsche 911 (993) I owned for ten years. I loved the owner club I was in back then. I saw a thread either here or on the VOA site comparing 911s to Vipers so I know there is a huge difference in personality. But it's been about 8 years since I sold the Porsche (which would be worth 4x what I sold it for today...I'm not bitter...dangit), so I think I'll handle the transition easier than if I had just sold it. I'm a little nervous about this garage queen but thanks to the forums I think I know what I'm getting myself into. It doesn't sound like the current owner has had the recalls taken care of, but if I'm going to get that full fluid change done I'll have those taken care of then. Will certainly do the power steering stuff right away too. Thanks guys!
