One thing we found is not all factory fuel pumps are created equal, are they fine for stock power levels. Yes absolutely!
But some put out more than others, due to manufacturing tolerances.
Most pumps have been fine with the HC package, but we have started to find a few cars that do need a pump upgrade.
With the Xtreme package we include a high flow replacement in tank pump, that solves any fuel delivery issue.
The other thing we found is a some valve springs that have lost tension sooner than they should have.
Over time the valve spring takes alot of abuse, being opened closed millions of times over the life of the spring.
The springs checked out fine upon installation.
The springs we used were from a major manufacture/distributor of racing parts, hint they are based in TN.
If you check with NASCAR teams they will actually take brand new valve springs, measure the tension, then put them on a spintron and cycle the shit out of them!
Then they check the spring pressures to see if any lose pressure prematurely.
This is a tedious and expense process, that would significantly add to the price of any engine package.
Sorry to get off track of the thread but just trying to educate and help with answers.
Please get in touch with me if you would like to discuss further.
