    Graham Henckel's Viper? (Viper Engineer)

Just putting two and two together (or more like this and this), one could bet that this is Graham's car. Does anyone know what kind of Gen V he got, if that?

I wonder if he left a signature in it hidden somewhere. 'Own a piece of Viper history'!

The last time I seen Grahams car it had black ACR wheels on it but we were doing a auto X with the MCVO. This does look like his car from what I remember.

NOT Grahams car........almost identical, and this car is at Roanoke.

Grahams has a chrome roll bar (from PartsRack!)

Ha! You guys are funny!... My Gen 4 Viper is (sadly) tucked away in a storage unit behind a wall of polar vortex snow. Literally. More snow added today, BTW.

And MR Viper has been buying cars at ebay recently, not selling...

New addition to the family includes a car with no A/C. No ABS. No roll up windows. Sounds like a Gen 1, perhaps?...well, except that this car also has no doors, no windshield wipers, no carpet, no weather protection, no decklid, and no warranty! Just carbon seats and an alcantara steering wheel! Crazy fun

Man, I can't wait for the dang snow to melt...and it's supposed to be close to 0F into March here!! Arrrrrgh!!!....

What in the world did you get? Lotus 7 clone/Locost? Ariel Atom? You dug up the naked Viper that Erich brought to VOI a while back?

I don't know about his car, but I have his Gen V Valve cover Well, not exactly, but I have one with his signature on it. Along with signatures of two other automotive geniuses that thankfully we have on our side here in Viperland.

That has doors and arguably weather protection. Disqualified!

I thought it looked more like a canopy as opposed to one or more doors but I could be wrong, there is an open version as well.

Viper owners and fans - yes, I bought a Lotus 7 last winter. An extreme & lightweight, all-Al bodied car with the same power to weight ratio as a Viper. I love the Lotus and the Viper. But, even the lightweight purist kart racer in me has to admit that my Viper is a WAY better car (and way faster, BTW) than this silly Lotus. The Lotus is fun, like a race kart: but you can only tolerate its 1200 lb insanity for about 10 minutes at most. On the other hand, I've driven my Viper, top down, for 500 mile intervals, including 150 miles during light rain (that was actually very cool!) And the Viper was a great drive, the entire way.

Euro sports cars are great, but so are American sports cars. And seriously (as an enthusiast, like you), easily the best engineered and most enjoyable sports car I've ever owned has been my Viper. Easily. I've had Japanese and European cars, and the Viper is far and away the best and most enjoyable car of them all. And bluntly, the best engineered. Now admittedly, I'm comparing against older imports, to be fair. But the Viper is always wicked-fast on a road course (my street roadster on street tires is always FASTER than GT3 Porsches on race tires!, and the Viper is also stupid fast in a drag race and able to put down 100 foot rubber strips wherever you and your lovely lady might like.....

The Viper remains the true modern interpretation of the 427 Cobra. And we at SRT are damn proud of it.

Thanks again for listening guys - and please get out there and drive this summer - before the next Polar Vortex arrives!!

Now for those of you who would like to chat with Graham up close and personal ( and heck , he can sign your Viper ) , sign up for the Viper Rendezvous and ride around the track with Mr. Engineer Extraordinaire!!!! He will also be giving a presentation will at the event, so go to www.racemph.com and sign up for the event and enjoy the extra benefit of being in the presence of one of our Dodge/SRT heroes!!!

First posts are always fun. Anyhow, I'm the present owner of this particular Viper. It's now living nicely tucked into my garage in sunny San Diego next to my '16 Challenger Hellcat. No signatures, but it did come with lots of historical information including the plaque when it was involved in SEMA in 2012. It's got a new clutch from a few years back and I just finished adding new brakes and rotors all around. Graham lovingly took care of this car and it shows. It does attract crowds of onlookers and is certainly fun. Top-down on the 101 along the ocean is a treat for sure.
