    Sabelt cloth seats

I'm guessing most select leather seats, but surely some on here have the cloth seats and can comment on them?

I believe that all the T/A's have the cloth seats. If thats the case then a T/A owner can comment.

All the TAs do have the cloth and vinyl seats, which many find quite attractive. We ( at Woodhouse ) actually ordered a decent number of cars with said seats last year and this, and customers
have been pleasantly pleased. Be interesting to see what owners say in this thread, but we have only gotten positive comments on the vehicles we sold with them.

The T/A has the Sabelts and I love them. Have leather in my LE with the big ticket Laguna leather, and to be quite honest, I like the look and feel of the seats in the T/A better.

Good to hear, I wasn't sure if these were supposed to be fillers for people looking to replace with their own aftermarket track seats or what.

The cloth insert exists in the middle of the seat and seat back. It's a thick material, it's hard to describe. But I do like it, especially on a track car. It definitely seems like it'll hold up and also looks just fine. Surrounded by leather it doesn't seem to stick out, if fact you tend to touch it wondering what it is.

EXACTLY...and "cloth" is probably a poor term for it. It doesn't seem like a "cloth" material at all.....not sure what it is either, but I like it a lot.

I am really disappointed by the "bunching up" of the leather in the Laguna seats. Guessing that's not something SRT plans to ever address?

The advertising literature for the TA says the seats are covered in "ballistic material"
From what I can see the material feels like its a lot tougher/stronger than any cloth seat I have ever owned.

I specifically searched for the suede and leather seats for my GTS because I noticed the "bunching up" of the leather in the all leather seats. My suede/leather is as tight as the day I purchased. The suede is just enough to prevent excessive stretch in the leather.
    Would definitely recommend this combo.

I've thought the same about the Laguna seats. My basic leather seats are holding up great too, no bunching at all.

I have noticed this combo seems to look the newest after use. Sucks to spend $7500 for premium leather, and have it look like crap

Not cloth but "Ballistic" maybe a durable sport material. In the T/A the seats have the orange stitching that kick it up a notch. You forget the fact that they are not "Leather" when you see, touch, and smell them. I am not sad at all that they are not leather and I like my vehicles loaded to the hip. Sounds like you are on the fence about a new Gen 5, go ahead and get a T/A buddy... The car is bad-ass! (Don't get a orange one)

The TA seats are as comfortable as any leather seats I've had. I also like the fact you don't slip around with the TA seats.

I have a feeling that if John gets a T/A, the first thing he is going to do is chop off the roof.

Even the Veyron has wrinkled leather. I agree, not cosmetically appealing, but not abnormal in the industry, either.

I wish I had gotten the base seats, honestly. The leather is nice, but the $3k could have been spent on other options.

It appears Sabelt offers the same ballistic cloth for seats for Ferrari. They are an option on the $300K+ F12

I ordered the leather on my (2 wk old order(haha!)) srt & figured I could always go after market if disappointed. There are some great superior after market interiors out there.

The cloth seats were described as "ballistic nylon" in the SRT training MY husband attended last March.

  25. #25
The official term from HQ is "Ballistic Cloth" and if you met us during the SRT All Access Tour our white car had those seats. They're great for on track; think of the friction between the seat bottom & your bottom; that grip holds you in place. The base GTS seats are the leather/suede & I like them a LOT. The Napa leather is available (smooth leather), but remember the Laguna leather package isn't just the seats, but all over the interior and adds the alcantara headliner too for the price of admission.
