Perfect Jack For the Gen 5

I have a four post lift, but, there is still a need for a compact versatile jack, as an example when you have to change tires, bleed brakes, etc. If you have a low profile floor jack that works find on the ground, but, not on the lift. I have always used a small 12V electric jack on the lift and even on the ground. The problem with some of the small electric jacks is durability. In addition, some will not fit under the frame rail. If you find a good electric jack, a big advantage over the floor jack is that they are also much easier to transport.

After one jack failed, I bought another one about one year ago and it seems to be a keeper. This jack is perfect for the viper, it fits under the frame rails and the jack saddle is a V-groove, therefore, it fits the jack points perfectly on the the G5. The pictures below show how it fits the frame. I just did a Google on "electric jack" to find this specific model.

Cool...thanks for the feedback. This would be REAL handy on a lift. Could I ask where you bought it? Searched Google, but saw various products.

I could not find it either - here is more info "Kingstar JZ-Z01 for electric jack and wrench". I had a hard time finding it originally also. If I find the packing list I will post it.

    Jack,

Love the scissor jacks since they'll get under the jacking points of even a lowered Viper. Your electric one is pretty slick.

Here is another option I've discussed before on the old site. I use 4 of the manual scissor jacks from Walmart that are made by Torin. They're around $24.00 each. Then I use a 1" socket on a rechargeable drill to lift or lower the car. This can done on the ground or on a 4 post lift using the runways. From start to finish, I can have all 4 tires off the ground in about 5 minutes. If working under the car, I supplement the scissor jacks with 4 Torin aluminum jack stands just in case the "big one" hits, lol.

I even take them to the track in case I have to swap tires around for better wear, work on the suspension, etc. With the rechargeable drill, it is a easy no sweat process to lift the car.

Just another option to the electric ones in case somebody is interested in lifting part or the whole car off the ground for around $100.00

    Cheers,
    George

Well I can't find ECJ003T Electric Car Jack Kit anywhere. I like that it went up higher than others. Anybody know of a jack with similar lifting height? over 17 inches I think.

That is not it, I had that pos. The other jack is far better. Look for the V shaped saddle.

Jack, from your picture it looks like you have the jack on one of the ramps you drive onto. I was under the impression that for a 4 post it is better to get the panel that goes between the two runners you drive on and lift the vehicle from that cross member. Was that a false assumption? It appears as though the solution you have is better and cheaper.

I too had looked on ebay but they are not the same jacks. They don't lift as high as the one Jack has.

Why on Earth does a company that looks to make a superior product at a competitive price discontinue said product. Stupid.
