Looks great - almost all the ACR’s do aside from the dealer edition IMO.

Really? I think the Dealer Edition is my favorite. Either that or a Voodoo.

I think I can break the TTU record for CW 1:50.058, but the CCW record seems unbeatable at 1:40.122 (high powered Radical). I think it's unfair that Nasa doesn't put those types of cars in their own class. Hard to beat a 1300lb 500hp go kart with a door slammer.
What times do you run there in the Gen 4 hot rod?

Nah looks crap. Hence the fact that BJ haven’t sold the one sitting there for the last 3 months.

2016 cars will stay at a buck and a half. It's the Final Production Year Special Edition ACR cars that will soar moving forward. Add American color livery to the equation and you have one of the best Vipers ever made.

I'm going to try and make this NASA event though in another car if I do. I'm also thinking BW a few weeks later

Pictures do no justice for those dealer edition cars. When I was buying my Acr from John Gastman at Roanoke Dodge, I got to check his dealer edition car out in person. I'll tell you my opinion changed on that color scheme changed quickly, that color really pops in person.

    ^^^ I believe it.

I'm learning that photos of the color blue are incredibly difficult for cameras to get right. And, too much blue in a photo can throw off surrounding colors as well. To see the best example of this problem, pull up some Instagram photos of Miami Blue Porsche 911's. 90% of those photos do not show the teal base that is the foundation for that color. Rather, many Miami Blue photos make the color look like a very light, but true, blue. In real life, you see lots of green.

Moreover, white Gen V cars generally look uninteresting in photos because the color hides the curves. You need to shoot white cars in dimly lit situations to best show the car. Of course, they look great in person as well.

I think this is what's going on with photos of the Dealer Edition cars. Those two factors lead me to believe that the car probably looks way different in real life (in a good way).

Blue winged monster about to eat a lesser wing RS. Blue cars are especially tough to shoot because they're the quickest and usually in flight.

Awesome dude! Ihop will be there as well. I'm trying to bring the 9 liter, but it's going to be close on getting everything done in time, otherwise I'll bring the ACR.

I think generally speaking those who couldn't wait to use and enjoy the performance of the ACR bought 2016's right away and weren't motivated or concerned about future values like many who were obviously waiting for the end of production. Those who drive theirs are already happy with their purchase...some others not so much.

Buy it way under market value - secretly buy the cover - install - talk about the 25% lift to the admiration of all!

Kinda like when I found the window sticker in the overhead pocket of my Gen II After I got a lower price for missing docs. WINNING!!

Agree. I was honestly preparing for the stripped down 16 version in my 17. I had no idea they were doing GTC cars for the SE ACR cars. It was a pleasant surprise and one more reason I'm glad I pulled the trigger at the end.

How awesome is your life that your "backup" Viper is a gorgeous, wicked fast Gen V ACR. Congrats! Looking forward to meeting you and IHOP at NVE III.

That's what's cool about the Ford GT forum. It's poser free because you need to plug in your VIN to be able to post. Hopefully someday this board will have it.

    Hi Gabel
Got back from Chuckwalla raceway late last night. The driving conditions were perfect (mid 70 degree). Unfortunately, my driver front shock blew out (moton) during the first session. That ended my driving day early.
There was a Gen V ACRE on Hoosiers R7/18" wheels clocking in 1:56 lap times with not too much effort (CW). So, with your modified ACR, the TTU track record should be definitely in reach with decent weather conditions. Good luck next weekend!
