    VOA issues

I just read the mass email from VOA leadership regarding the VCA letter. I have come along just as the old club began to crumble. I was a member over there for one year, mostly anonymous. That was/is a train wreck.

The issues at the VOA are insignificant compared to the old club, the VCA. Those guys at the VCA ruined it for themselves and as far as I am concerned no amount of emailing/trolling they do will help them out.

The VOA seems like a well run club. Keep it up VOA Leadership!

Quite separately, I do hope people find value in this site and if they do, they should give back to the community by becoming a paid member.

Hard to follow your post...as I wondered if you meant to say "VCA" in a place or two. No offense intended, no judgement made...just trying to understand your comments.

Threads are dictated by forum members and not the admins or Board members. One gets out of the forums as what people post. The GEN V section does have a lot of redundant threads, but the other GEN's go through the same pitfalls. As for the other club, one can only wish them the best and VOA can focus on keeping this a great place to be.

There is a ton of information on here. There are only so many topics that can be made on a limited production of cars and owners.

Haha, was on the go when I wrote. My creative writing was a bit incoherent lol. I did try to refrain from typing VCA.

In short, The issues here at the VOA are basically non-existent. The VCA did it all to themselves, the fact they are efforting to get people to come over from here is hilarious. The VCA is still moronic.

VOA and the people that lead the VOA are doing a fine job. To hell with those other guys.

Problem is it should run like Ford GT site. Plug in a VIN or sit down & shut up...

I plugged my VIN at the other site to show that I'm an owner. Is it any different here? It doesn't show here that I'm an owner, only shows member.

They dont do that here. You aren't shown any status unless you pay up. Your membership automatically means that you are an owner.

I'm curious how they verify, someone can always get a vin from a wrecked viper and apply for membership.
But I'm sure they wouldnt be paying $100+ a year for faking the funk.

Plenty of information and discussions being had here. VOA leadership has and continues to do a great job. The reason it may seem boring is because unlike the other disaster, there's no drama, conspiracy theories, or schizophrenic moderators (except for Phil).

There is a predictable future course to a car club's activities and Internet Site once the car goes out of production. This site will be the one left standing but it too will fade with time as people move on to other vehicles. Is that sad? Yes. But it is inevitable.

As for what happened in 2013, it was, and is, unfortunate. There were many successful years before then. Those years should not be washed away like rain drops in an ocean because of what happened. I choose to remember all of the good times and the Viper comradery had by all.

I got that loaded email over the weekend and since I just came into the Viper ownership scene in the past 6 months I think the email could have been summed up as "the old group sucks, ignore their shit"

I'm relatively new to this site (march 2017) but the information here is priceless to people like me.....I live in a very small town and the only Viper owner in maybe a 75 mile radius. If I have a problem or question about my Viper I'm not going to get an answer from the guys that hang out in my garage, ya we all got muscle cars we help each other with but the Viper is a whole different animal so I value this site tremendously!! Great job to those who run it. The connections to those of knowledge are endless...Jon B, Mark Jorgensen, Bill Pemberton, Autoform Steve, even the videos by Boosted, on and on and on...Keep up the good work VOA!!

No question. The GT site is the best of many I’m on but then again it may be easier given the small number of folks. This site , thank God, came about as a result of the lunacy of the old site.
