To say the least, the last couple days have been more exciting than usual.
Yea fingers crossed, progress on the fire fight continues to go in our favor.
Ain't unpacking the car just yet.. but the situation seems better (for the moment).

We are right on the border of a Mandatory Evacuation Zone and until late last night was under Voluntary Evac Notice.
Our location is exactly due west of the fire by ~7 miles. With the Santa Ana winds, it was heading our way fast.
Damn the Main Stream Media News SUCKS!! They put pretty girls on air that say the dumbest things and always fail to provide any useful information.
(Don't get me started on the Main Stream Media these days !@#$%^&!! )

Was about ready to evac the Viper to a safer place, but decided to take her out for one last drive before she got displaced from her cozy little liar.
Wanted to scope the situation with my own eyes. Roads were blocked everywhere and we kept getting turned around.
Then the smoke let up and there was better news on progress of the fire fight.

The roads were pretty clear and all the cops had their hands full, so.... Woooohoooo!
