Thanks bud. I love the boat, We wanted something we could throw 4-5 girls and a couple buddies and go out and have a good time. We boat out in Clear Lake Texas which is known to have some big players with SICK boats. The boat will do around 60-65mph which is more than enough for what I want it for.

The Tow vehicle gulps (vs drinking or sipping lol) fuel when towing as it has a magnuson blower on it.

Bought a new 23 foot tritoon boat in 2012 made by an awesome builder, Premier, with a Yamaha 200 sho outboard. Top speed 40 and pulls skiers well. We keep it at the cleanest lake I have ever seen. In Ark. called Beaver Lake. Used to run a tunnel boat with 2.5 merc that ran 100 mph in smooth water but the toon is a lot more useful. My best memories is living on a Sea Ray Motor Yacht aft cabin for 5 years in Clear Lake, Tx. (not very clear though) Man do they depreciate in value fast.

Here is a friend of mine's new 48'MTI Cat that is a designed and painted to match his new Lambo LP720 Roadster. The car is sick, and so is the boat. Boat has (2) 1350HP Merc racing engines in it.

Cool boats! Here are a few of mine:
    My Old Checkmate Pulsare 2100BR

New Baja H2X 496H.O. (Picture from the dealer I bought her from)

My Uncle and My dad raced this MTI 42' Cat, had 1650hp twin sterlings would run 200+

This is the First boat they used in racing. 42' Fountain staggered 900sc mercs. would run 120+

Baja looks really clean, you sneak it into the garage for storage?

Just waiting on delivery (should be about 2 more weeks before it gets here). 33' Daytona Carbon Edition. They only made of 10 of these, and the entire hull is CF. Obviously it cut a lot of weight off the boat, and allows it to run pretty damn quick with lower power. With good all-around props, it should be in the 135mph range.
And of course, Viper powered!Engines (2).jpgDrives.jpgDash.jpgCockpit.jpgFront:Side.jpg

No idea on poker runs yet. Definitely want to make it to Key West, but I'll have to see if schedules can work out. Between work and racing, spare time (at least enough to travel to the keys) is tough to come by at the moment.

    TD,
Am I confused, is this your new boat or a friend's? It's an awesome rig, and just a friendly piece of advise, be careful with that big tunnel tab, if lowered at the speed, it can cause the boat to do some crazy things.

Buddy's boat, but "technically" part mine since it's in our LLC that owns the race coach and trailer.
He's got a professional cat trainer coming to run through everything (2 full days I think) with both of us, since that lowered the insurance cost about the same as having the guy come out. Not to mention, it's not exactly a bad idea to have somebody with that much experience take you through the ins & outs and due classroom plus on water drills/instruction.

    TD,
Very cool, is the guy coming Tres Martin? I bet it is, Tres is a world champion offshore Powerboat racer, very skilled guy. I had tunnel/cats for 10 years, and they are very fast compared to V-hulls, BUT they can be deadly, if people aren't careful. Hell, I know of a guy who have rolled his Skater @ 30 mph!!!

    W,
Very nice, what does your Dad and Uncle have now? The Pair-of Dice boat is an incredible boat, very fast.

After boat racing they got into car racing (mainly vipers). My uncles back was bad and the wave jumping was hard on it. Plus they won a world championship and felt that was their goal achieved! If you watch the movie Miami Vice uncut version, you will see the pair-a-dice boat running in the beginning of the movie!

It is Tres. Boat was delayed and ended up having to reschedule him coming out though. The boat made it last week, and all I can say is that a cat feels WAY different than anything I've ever driven. Definitely not doing any kind of speed until I actually LEARN how to drive it. Had it up to all of 55mph and that's about all it's doing until next month. lol

Really nice boat, I like the "Old School" boats of Apache, the early Cigs, and early Fountains.
