    Pulley cai time question

I have a ‘16 that I’m considering doing these basic mods to..

Any cons of the underdrive pulley and others?

What brand cai and pulley are y’all going with?

Also what abt arrow compared to a dyno tune? Do the hp dyno tunes usually pickup more power?
    Thanks!

Under-drive pulley on my srt10 severely reduces my alternator output at idle but i did notice better throttle response.
The stock airbox and filter is the best there is.

I’ve put about 25k miles on an IPSCO underprice pulley, I’ve never noticed a single issue. It’s also the easiest mod you’ll ever do to the engine, after removing the front belly pan there’s 6 bolts to undo, swap the pulley on, and tighten the bolts back up. Unless you’re idling for hours everyone should do this mod.

IPSCO pulley is a no-brainer. Easy to install from the top, no need to remove belly pan just remove airbox. Use locktite on bolts. Adds horsepower and absolutely no issues with accessories. Essential mod for tracked cars.

The only reason our cars don’t come with the same size pulley that IPSCO provides is some obscure govt 48 hour isle test where the battery has to retain the same charge it starts with. Seriously, there’s no downside to this. And the upside is an improved throttle response from a few free Hp.

Benefits for a track car - at high rpms the water pump will start to fight the flow of water. The UD pulley slows things down just a little and that actually helps keep the engine cooler. Or at least I think that’s why the ACR-X cars came all with UD pullies.

+1 IPSCO pulley. Don't forget the DSE intake heat shield with the stock airbox instead of CAI.

I think I'm going to do this for the high RPM water pump benefit alone.

IPSCO pulley all the way. Cheap, easy to install and a few free ponies, plus it's 12 ounces lighter. LOL

I’ve seen people mention a part number for a 1/2”-3/4” shorter belt, but have also seen plenty of people say they work just fine with the stock belt. That makes me believe the stock belt works, and If it squeals, there’s a shorter one available.

I run the stock belt and have never had an issue. I did buy the smaller belt just to have as a spare in my trailer in case I had issues with the stock belt.
