Planning to buy headers for my Gen I Where do I start

    Hello guys,

What do I need to install headers on a Viper 1994?

Do I need to send the ECM for tuning? What about the o2 sensors?

Do I have to modify some other stuff?

While I'm there, I might want to change the full exhaust system.

Where I live, in Quebec (Canada), they don't have emission inspections.

However, police do not tolerate loud exhausts.

If I want to modify my exhaust system, it has to be as loud as OEM or less. I achieved to do so on my RX-7 and my ZR-1, it is quiet and the flow is good. And they got beautiful exhaust notes!

What do you guys suggest for a quiet exhaust with a good flow?

Headers(I have a set for sale) are going to naturally make the sound signature louder.

No need to tune, although to maximize power, it can help. To keep the sound down, add Hi-flow cats or a set of Moroso Spiral mufflers(3" in/out) to your choice of 6" round muffler. Stock O2 sensors will bolt into the headers.

What he said^^^^^^^^^^ I also have a set for sale. High flow cats and gen 4-5 muffs will be just right.
