I am currently looking for a SRT Demon from a viper friendly dealer. Does anyone have
a contact or know where they are hiding ?

LOL good luck with that. Everybody and their dog threw money down to get one of these tanks earlier this year. Limited production and all units were probably presold. If you wait a year, somebody will be sick of it and the market will be flooded when the next best thing comes out, just like all the unloved Hellcats stuck on lots today.
Quite a few are dealer stock orders. A friend of mine just took one here in the Bronx (Got his name on the order as well since it didn't go D1), Another friend has two orders in since he believes dealer #1 is going to pull something.
Frank, are you willing to pay ADM? If so I might know a few dealers.
Lol @ one of those tanks. Hahaha
I've already found them with ADM fees. Thanks for your input.
Frank,
Honestly believe it will be super difficult for you to find a Demon that is not well above ADM!! We had deposits for this beast well over a year ago, so folks looking now are unfortunately just a bit too late for the party. We sold all of ours for MSRP , but we still have not received them --- seems like Dodge wants to launch the first ones all at once? There will be a few pop up at 20-50K over, I would estimate, but I can't imagine there are any out there ,now , that won't be in that price range.
Heck there was a Dealer in your State asking 100K over. Don't disagree with your statement though, and as noted we sold all of ours at MSRP , but did not get enough to help all our past customers which is always a tough situation.
Don't Worry those tanks will tank. Haha
Agree. Instead of concentrating on their true sports car, they keep producing novelty cars the Hellcat ( now languishing on lots) and a bulky drag car. Just think if that time , effort and money had gone into making a truly lights out designed Viper like Gens 1 and 2. Just my opinion.
I would own a 9 second Boat anchor with no problems

If I was a betting man.... I predict in 20 years if a 2017 Viper and a Demon were to roll across the block, in equal collector condition, the Demon would far surpass the hammer price of the Viper. There's something about that car... Hellcat's, no, but the Demon... absolutely. It's like the guys that opted to not spend the extra money on the 426 Hemi option almost 50 years ago and left the dealer with their 383 that they were content with. Hindsight is 20/20 but you can guarantee that everyone of them looked back and wished they spent the extra coin.
The just announced 2020 Tesla Roadster does the quarter in 8.9 seconds. 0 to 60 in 1.9 seconds. Top speed 250 MPH. I am no fan of electric cars but twenty years from now, electrics will be so fast and charging will be so quick that other than their historical value, internal combustion engine cars will be irrelevant to racing. It is only a matter of time before we see some sort of electric "Top Fuel" level vehicle. Hellcats may be sitting on lots but they are still one of the best all around performance, around town, and highway vehicles available - particularly at its price point. The Demon is not as usable and certainly not as good looking with its bolt on flares. As for the Demon's tech, the new Camaro already has some of it. And yes, I know, the Tesla's cost is 250K. But, all the car manufacturers are now jumping into the electric/hybrid space and we will see many very fast vehicles in the future. You will not hear the electrics but you will see them. LOL. Since there are Tesla roadster prototypes being used to give rides ( Brooks had a ride and did a video on it), I think we will soon see a heads up quarter mile race between the roadster and a Demon. It will not be close. It will be sad.
I could care less about electric cars. No matter how fast they are, they do absolutely nothing for me. Part of the thrill of being in and driving a car is hearing the damn thing and the way it makes you feel when you hit the go pedal and it starts making all those wonderful sounds and crackles on acceleration and deceleration. Won't get any of that with the electric vehicles.

I've got one on order in my name. FCA did me a disservice by not allocating us one. But It's a good thing we have friends. Was suppose to get two, had the one sold for $20K over MSRP, then the dealer got cold feet and we are just getting mine. I am waiting to see it in person and will decide what to do with it. Loaded white with full black top and no sunroof. Should be hot. I will post it in here when it arrives. It will be on the showroom with my GTSR.
I feel similar to the way you feel but with a projected quarter mile time of 8.9 seconds I am starting to get interested. I would hazard a guess that the number of people feeling the way we do about sound, etc. is steadily going down. We already know that manual tranny cars are selling far, far less than they used to. I doubt anyone but a die hard, throw back will care much about sound 20 years from now and quite a few do not care now. All they want is the fastest, newest thing.
