Side window broken - where to send them for service?

    Hi guys,

I'm looking for a place to send both windows to install a new plastic. The "green plastic" is broken on one of my side windows. Where I live (poor 50,000 people city), I went everywhere and nobody wants to install a new plastic window.

    Any idea?

    Thanks!

Please post a pic so we know what you are talking about? Do you mean this?

Or are you talking about the Zip / Plastic, canvas windows on a Gen 1 RT/10?

    Got it
Several years ago (2001) I took mine to a car soft top roof and upholstery shop, they looked at the stitching and the way they were put together and did not want to touch them! (that was in the UK).
    Good luck with your quest

Not that I'm on a budget, but I don't think I need new windows. It is just barely teared off. That'd be very sad if I had to buy other windows.

Try searching your area for Convertible roof repair shops, many older cars had that plastic type window sewn in the rear.

Within 200 miles, I can already confirm that nobody is able to repair the windows. So I will have to ship them somewhere, that's for sure.

To ship them 300 miles or 1,000 miles away is basically the same hassle at this point.

That's sad... any competent convertible top shop should be able to do it with their eyes closed. I would think any apolstry shop could do it to.
