The thought of Not having firearms scare me.

With the Money that some people here put into their cars, I would love to see what they would have if they were into firearms as much.

I do miss my 50BMG. Replacing it is on my want list right now.

Ohio Ordinance Works 1918A3...most fun I've ever had shooting a long gun.

The M1 Garand is a very close second.

The M1A NM is a close third.

Was getting some things together to head down to south Texas next week and took a family photo. Got 5 more 6920s in safe still wrapped up in plastic that did not make the pic.

You don't mess with Getnlwr when he's eating steak & beans!

Awesome rifles guys! That .50 BMG must be something else to shoot!

    I brought this home recently:

    308..jpg

Feels great on the shoulder, nicely made, and should be a fun shooter.

In Ohio I've had my CCW since it became legal. Lately I've been carrying a 45/410 derringer (000 buck shells) with a driving holster. In the Viper I found it was difficult, to get access to my gun sitting down. With the driving holster it's carried just left of my belt buckle (very accessible siting or standing) and with the 410 shells it gives me a nine inch spread at ten feet. The down side is it only carries two rounds, then reload, I also have a belt clip with ten additional rounds.

We drive cars that are very visible and vulnerable, I don't want to be in a position wishing I had taken due precautions.

I don't any guns at all either. (Hello CIA, NSA, and anyone else joining the party. I hope you are having a great day) But if I did own guns, which I don't, I would say:

I love my Glocks. Mostly becaue I like the KISS principle at work. Few moving parts and easy to take down and clean. I also like that the platform transfers from pistol to pistol so if I go get a compact .45, it's literally the exact same pieces just in a diffrent size.

I also have a limited edition Henry lever action in 45 colt that has a cowboy darted and painted on the stock and horses on the foregrip, and yes I shoot it. And I have a 45 colt cimmeron wo the case hardened finish to match it so I can play cowboy.

And I have a Benelli tactical with the long tube and I love that thing. Though my friend has the semi auto and that is a blast. But if I got another one it would be a SAGA shotgun in the AK platform.

Also have some AK's cause dammit they are fun. They are like the old pickup trucks of guns. They rattle, squeek, and aren't the prettiest thing but he'll if they don't get the job done.

Though my favorite for sheer cool factor is my bear gun. A .50 cal S&W revolver, short barrel. It is the special edition that came in a waterproof Orange case that said "Emergency Survival Tool Kit" on it and inside it has the pistol, a book on bear attacks, a firestarter, a compass, and a book on bear attacks. I got sick of carrying it on my hip so I got a chest holster for it. One of my favorite spots that I go fishing I never fail to see at least one black bear, usually more. Now, for our Arizona black bear, a .357 should be more than enough but I figure why chance it? : ) plus, we have polar bears at the zoo and those bastards could get out and when they do, I'm prepared.

That's what I would say IF I owned guns. Which I don't. Hillary in 2016!!!

And Fatboy, I would be careful about pointing a non -functioning firearm at someone. Reason being, here (obviously things are different than the U.K.) when you pull a gun it is not like the movies where it calms everybody down. Guns add energy to the situation. And the guy who originally wanted to steal your stuff now has reason to fire at you when he may have just taken off at knowing you were there. Ideally, if someone threatening me sees my gun it's the last thing they see because if you pull a gun and don't use it, who knows what they might be reaching for? The goal is to not have to be in a situation where you have to use it but if someone wants in my home even with a 105lb german shepherd going nuts at him, I won't point a gun at him to make him leave, because it has already reached the tipping point that he is not there just to steal my stuff. But here if you take safety classes or CCW classes that is something they try to hammer into your head that if you pull a gun without the intention of using it, things get worse not better. Just wanted to give you a heads up on that. I know things are different in the area of firearms there but that's a policy here that most people try and put into practice.
