Race the Runway

Had a great day today at a race the runway event for The Soldiers Charity. Takes a little practice to get these beasts off the line well. 0-60 times started at 5.1 seconds but finally got it down to 3.8. Top speed run was 180mph. A couple of pictures below including a McLaren and Lambo trying (and failing) to look cooler than the Viper.

Pretty cool. How were the top speeds on those other two cars?

Funny how the Lambo looks so dated. We all use to drool over that car when it came out.

The McLaren ran a 188mph but with launch control, auto and a straight runway, all they need to do is hold on. The Lambo ran in the 140s and then struggled for fuel.

One of my mates took a video but it was not one of my better runs, I think a 177mph. Will post it if I can get it off him. He took one in my Lambo last year and I’m still waiting to see it.
