What Dash Camera Should I Buy

I have a 2005 Gen 3 and have been wanting to get a dash camera. More I think for recording the car for times when it is parked in a public place and I am away from it. I want to record if anything happens to it such as vandalism or being hit. Plus it would be nice if I could access the camera from my phone (not sure if that is available) to check on the car. Most of the ones I see on the internet you have to stick onto the windshield which just reduces the visibility in an already small windshield area. I have seen some that clip onto the rear view mirror so maybe that is the way to go. Any suggestions?

i use the Aukey dash camera. One of the smaller dash cams that have a built in screen. I put my radar detector under the rear view mirror already so its up on the passenger side next to the rear view and out of the way

I just received a Blackvue DR750S-2CH. I installed it and have only driven the car once since. The reviews of this model and the previous ones seem really good. I love that it will keep recording with the car off and will sense movement as well as impacts.

Thanks. The Blackvue seems a little pricey but probably worth it. I am looking at the Falcon 360 as well as you can attach that one right over the mirror.

You have any pics of it from the inside of your car mounted on the windshield? It looks like it would be large. Looking for something not distracting.

    view from driver seat

mounted view. Its scooted over to the right more because of the wider field of view of this camera. Otherwise half of the image would be obscured by big plastic thing in the center of the windshield G5s have. Scooting it over makes it only 1/3 obscured. I usually try to get as close to centerline as possible for mounting the camera.
