    AutoArt 1 18 Racing Vipers

Been adding to my collection today and purchased the No1 Zackspeed Viper.

However I was searching ebay and found this one for sale
    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AUTOART-DO....c100033.m2042

Its out of the box and the rear wheel seems to be missing but still a bargain at just $30.00

It would cost too much for me to get this back to the UK, but thought you guys in the USA might like to jump on this

It was fun tracking them all down over the years. Still great models all this time later.

My sickness has resulted in a few extras as well for reasons I can't explain.

Nice collection of models, and they're in a really nice case. At the risk of upsetting you, I'm sorry to tell you that a burglar recently broke into your garage and vandalized it; he left a Corvette sign on your wall.

    Hahahahahahah.
A LITTLE STORY BV (Before Viper).
I had my heart set on a C3 Corvette some 20 odd years ago, I kept saving and going to American Car shows and each time I came away from a show thinking to myself I needed to save a bit more money. I then made the mistake of buying the Corvette black book (where you match engines and check specifications against chassis plates). The disease got worse
One day at a car show my wife said in a throwaway comment, "What about a Cobra"

So I went out and Bought one ...........So what do you get after a Cobra?........Easy, A Viper! Hello

    I never looked back

I collect the Autoart Vipers as well - some of the most detailed diecast I've ever seen. I don't have the complete set but have quite a few. I need to check my list and see where I'm at; quit searching a year or so ago.

If by chance someone here has these and is looking to sell, PM me.

Fatboy, my wife found a model builder who does custom work on these and other brands.

She gave me this one for my birthday that;s a copy of mine. I've bought 2 more and have had the custom work done for buddies that helped me with my Comp Coupe.

Great collections! I had a number of these AutoArt cars back in the day while in HS and College...well before my Viper ownership. Sold them all to help fund my move cross country with the wife after college. Would love to pick up a few again to outfit the new home office! I've looked on and off over the years.

Still have a couple of the little 1/64 Johnny lightning Vipers around.

Great thread, my passion fits right in here :-) I have all but one AUTOart GTS-R (also all the other AUTOart Vipers in 1/18); still on the hunt for the last one.

Even though quite limited and now somewhat expensive, the three Spark versions of the Gen V GT3-R are also very nice!

Im looking for the "Blue" Oreca, Le mans GTS-R Autoart No 80222 Im not worried about Boxes.

They come up every now and again on eBay but I refuse to pay the price many of the sellers advertise this model for!

Ok I have a question that perhaps someone with Type font skills will know.

Can anyone tell me the type font used for the race car numbers on the Autoart 1998 Red, white and Blue vipers?
Does anyone know anyone who makes waterslide transfers for 1/18 race cars, I purchased an additional No 51 1998 Autoart Le mans GTS-R and want the Number 50 printed. Drivers Name change would also be good.
