    Coolant Leak Thermostat

I haven't driven the car for a few days and noticed tonight some coolant on the ground at the rear of the engine. Also, coolant in the valley beneath the intakes.

I've been noticing a very slight coolant smell but never found anything wrong. (Didn't look under the intake) The few times I checked the overflow tank, the level was fine. Car has not overheated. Oil on the dipstick looks, smells normal.

If I understand correctly, the t-stat in on the back side of the Gun 1 engine and doesn't appear all that difficult to do. But before I do....I'd be thankful for your thoughts. The head gaskets were done by Cragin in CA before I owned the car.

Time to update to all AFM gaskets and ditch the old paper crap... that's why these repeat leaks occur.

I never heard of AFM gaskets before, so I had to google that one. I should stop using cereal box cardboard, I guess, and get into the 21st century.

well guys...an update. I pulled the wiper arms, and cowl...cleaned up the coolant in the valley. Got the car to operating temp in the garage...didn't drive it. Saw one drop....one drop of coolant on the engine directly beneath one of the crossovers. I suppose I'll have to replace the crossover gaskets...

Also, before I started it...I put a Stand cooling system-rad cap tester on at about 16psi. No drop in pressure over 20 minutes.
