Doug, so I finally got around to take a few pics of my front plate holder. Take a look...maybe this is something you will consider making. If you make the bracket about 1/2" deeper, it will work perfectly

EK1 - Thank you I will look into that.

Here is what I have for now. I have some tweaking to do just to perfect the design. Kit would include security screws for the plate, nut inserts in the mounting bracket, everything in black of course. The idea here is that it is not very invasive to the aero because it follows the lines of the car, doesn't really block the radiator openings... perhaps it would not even need to be removed for tracking?
