Electronic stability contrail light turns on after holding down brake

After stopping with my foot on the brake for about a couple minutes the the electronic stability control ight turns on. After I restart the car it turns off. Not sure why it does this. Is there a way to read this MIL light .

That's weird - I'll have to try that on mine to see if I can replicate. Could it possibly have something to do with the "hill holder" function that I believe is built into the system? I've never used it or noticed it, but I seem to remember hearing that when you hold the brakes for a certain amount of time, they'll engage until you move forward. Just my $0.02 because I can't remember exactly what I read about this feature.

The hill hold function keeps the brake from releasing for 3-5 seconds or until the clutch releases. Every now and then it releases a little late when I release the clutch.

My electronic stability control light came on in my GTS after pushing it a bit in a spirited run. I believe after 1-2 restarts it dis appeared and never returned.

maybe low on brake fluid? my old corvette used to have that symptom as the pads wore and fluid level dropped...?
